PHAK KAT appears as both Lettuce and Daikon (turnip).

I realise that to be more specific, words are added onto that, such as PHAK KAT HOM, for lettuce, but does PHAK KAT itself only refer to Daikon?

PHAKKAT doesn't exist as a stand alone word (at least according to a couple of dictionaries I've looked at).

Lettuce is PHAKKAT HOM. Daikon is PHAKKAT HUA (and it's radish, not turnip).

It's appeared a few times as lettuce, radish and mustard greens. I guess that they have just abbreviated it and not added the full description. PHAK KAT is shown as turnip in the thai-language.com dictionary. I note that they often mix up turnip (and sometimes parsnip) with radish on various sites. Radish itself can have a few meanings, so it is confusing. Just trying to confirm these ambiguities.

PHAK KAT DONG is common and appears as cabbage pickles, pickled mustard greens. I guess I will leave PHAK KAT DONG as that.

I think I will leave PHAK KAT out altogether.
