Hi

It's a simple one but I've heard contrasting things so I wanna make sure............

I have a triple entry tourist visa from the UK and someone told me I am only allowed ONE extension whereas a couple of other people have told me I can extend on more than one entry. Which is it please?

Also, I have a 5 day overstay so I know if I head to the border tomorrow I just have to hand over 2,500b and I wondering if this would be the same at Chiang Mai immigration or if there would be complications due to a double whammy of extension and overstay.

Cheers for any help

You can get a 30 day extension for every 60 day entry you get from a tourist visa. You just have to be careful that you do the last entry before the enter bfore date on your visa.

Immigration will probably let you pay the overstay and get the extension but it will start from the date your 60 day entry ended.. If not they will more than likely tell you to go out for a new entry and pay the fine then.
