Ants & Laptops ~

Has anyone ever had a problem with all these ants crawling around inside their laptops? I've ignored this for a long time, but I cannot help wondering.

Yes of course.

Electronic equipment often uses soldering with flux, a fat like substance.

Some ants love to eat fats and oils!!!!!

They certainly seem to have an affinity for electronics (although I thought it was the electric fields that attracted the beasties, they do tend to congregate in the PSU), unfortunately they also attract jinjoks to eat them, high voltage power supplies don't fare well (neither do the jinjoks)

I've lost two A/C cards, due to lizards eating ants in there.

But, I think ants prefer Windows over OSX. I knew they were stupid!

Nah, ours prefer the open-source option FreeBSD http://www.freebsd.org/ , killed the PSU in my UNRAID NAS

where problems were caused in the early machines by real bugs shorting circuits.

I keep two small containers of sugar water on my computer desk and they are both full of ants. Its tastier than the inside of my computer.
