I would like to know if anybody had the same experience as I did about Facebook.

First of all I had heard there was pictures of me, but on Facebook that were made to make fun of me.

And thing said about me on Facebook and I had no account, but no proof of this.

Has anyone had the same experience as me, and could you replay on any suggestions to this question.

Is it not defamation of character, and is there any law on this subject.

Maybe they cant help make comments about the supersized funbags of silcone you have?
If you dont want people to notice you, then cover up a bit?
So very unlike my avatar ...which is tasteful and demure.

Um, what does this have to do with Thailand?

I would think that if you have an issue with something posted on Facebook that you would seek out a forum specific to Facebook.

Yes, this is typical sandman, although with a slightly different dialect. reblepower12 probably comes from the north east of the region.

People who publish anything about themselves on facebook, including details, personal data and photos do so at their own risk and discretion, because the reality is that your stuff could end up anywhere.

I believe there is a report button on everyone`s profile and that`s about all you can do about it.

Are you saying

  1. someone told you that a 3rd person is writing about you on Facebook?
  2. And putting up pictures of you that make fun of you?
  3. and you do not have a Facebook account so you do not know if it is true?

Are you asking

  1. How do you find out if it is true?
  2. If it is true, what can you do?

1. First of all what is a sandman, a man that buries his head in the sand.

2. Second of all I don’t come from the north east Thailand, has got to do with the subject, and is the internet not everywhere in Thailand.

3. And at the time I didn’t have an account with Facebook; it was by pure coincidence that I found out.

4. As I was walking one day a tourist was laughing at me, and I ask him what he was laughing at and he told me that there was some funny pictures on Facebook about me, which was done with the computer, but at this stage it was taking of Facebook so that is how I found out about Facebook and not the local Som Tam Lady.

5. And now I have an account to see what Facebook is about, but at the time I didn’t have an account.

6. To RichCor Beetle juice, Castas 2008 I hope this answers your questions.

7. ______________________________________________________________________________-------__-

Noise had a good response to my Questions the rest is a joke.

I have tried Facebook many times and still no reply to my Questions and I have send them many emails about this matter, and they have send an email back that doesn’t work and then use another email and they say we are not responsible and use this email again this is going on for a month so I give up on Facebook.

1. First I didn’t have an account at the time.

2. How to find out if it is true?

3. If it is true what can I do?

4. And where to get advice or how to contact on this subject, these are my Three questions 2-3-4

ThaiVisa is specific to events concerning Thailand/Myanmar/Laos/Cambodia/Malaysia ...etc.

This is not a 'Thailand' specific complaint. I would suggest you look for a forum more specific to your need.

If this was a one-time event, forget about it. It's not worth the effort to chase and possibly make it worse.

If you can not find the images, how are you going to prove that someone has made fun of you (at your expense)?

Find another person who will laugh at you. Ask them who posted.
Or ask any of your own friends who use FaceBook, as it was probably one of them who took the picture in the first place.

If this occurred in Thailand, and it is an ongoing thing (many, many images), it's up to you to find the images and take them to the Thai Authorities.

Maybe you'll become as famous as Thailand's 'Pancake'. Take advantage of the fame.

But, please, stop posting about it here.

To richCor As I am concerned it is a general complaint and it does happen in Thailand.

And there have been complaints but in general forum, before I have looked into it, and Thai Visa said to but it into

Internet topic, so I would have but it into general forum if I had my way

If the same sercomestan happened to you, might have a change of mind,

I am only posting it to find someone that had similar experience as me.

If you nothing positive to say on it you don’t have to make a replay to it.

Sorry I am allowed to post it here, and there is no need to say things like Thailand’s Pancake?

So tell me the right forum specific to this subject, if you want to make a replay,

If the photos are no longer on FB there is no way to find out if the photos ever existed

My suggestion to you is to forget about it.

Unless you know who posted the alleged photos on facebook there is no point asking facebook employees about it as you have no proof the photos existed, you are going of the word of a 3rd party and how would someone look for something that is no longer there?

Photos are no longer on facebook, problem has been solved

Move on with your life

Lucky lew there is a lot of sense, to a lot of your points of views some good, but one point I must make.

The first thing, why I posted this was to find someone, that had the same experience as me or something similar to this topic, as I would not like it to happen again, and they say it someone in your circle,

Example there was a couple of post but in the general forum about something similar, but you have made some sense of some of the issues. But my main point was to get some support, and some suggestion on something close to this subject Thank you and Mr. Noise for making some positive points.

And for the rest that made comments on this subject, I don’t know what planet there from one remark was it had nothing to do with Thailand, it happened in Thailand, I have to inform them Facebook is widely used in Asia. And i have been using Facebook for over a month, and there are a lot of security issues on Facebook.

I will make one point for you, when about over a month ago I open an account first week ok, then when I see that there was five accounts with the same name, so some of the details that I could see, I could only know, so I went and tried to log into does account, and to my amazement, I could log into five account so I reported this to Facebook, and I gave my passport picture and number on it, and picture of the accounts in question. And then they close my account, and the four more account still open, and there is one with two accounts and is only aloud one, so my point here is that someone hacked into these account with my email and password. So I would like your replay on this one, there is many complaints about Facebook and I think it is about time these thing where posted, I know it is a long story, but to make my point, so please replay and replay with respect and those that want Thailand’s Pancake? And fame, and stop posting about it here, don’t replay to my posting
