AfterLOS, dude, is sounding like the Brits who are so disappointed in their showing, not being able to get out of their group, etc.

ALL the teams at this year's world cup are very talented. They had to be to even get through qualifications. For the Brits, they had to be a better team than Austria, Czech Rep, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Scotland, Ukraine, Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and All of Scandinavia. Most of those teams mentioned, have been perennial powerhouses at prior World Cups. In the European theater, England came out better than any of them.

As for the US, it's already been articulated how they're slowly emerging from being a near non-entity on the world soccer stage. However, for the past several W.Cups, they've been quite good. Winning is good, but it's not everything. Qualifying and showing up and playing hard and clean is more important than winning, in my view.

Here are some other no-shows: So if the denigraters, want to denigrate, there are plenty to choose from: Paraguay, Peru, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan (those last 4 comprise about 3/4 of the world's population.) Other regions which didn't make it: Middle Eastern countries (Iran is Persian), S.E. Asia.

Would be cool to see a World Event for Sepak Takraw. SE Asians would dominate initially, but as other countries get the hang of it, things could change.

Me disappointed? Nah! I noo the US team would lose when I watched the very first game for about 15 mins. Sloppy and nobody has a hard-on.

Free lesson for the Brits who nowadays are mere shadows of their former selves. Sad but true.

Examples taken from this Brit poster will serve.

>>>>>>> ALL the teams at this year's world cup are very talented. <<<<<<<

No they are not, they are in fact the least talented I've seen in the last couple decades.

>>>>>>> Winning is good, but it's not everything. <<<<<<<

Winning is everything.

An Englishman, roused by a Scot's scorn of his race, protested that he was born an Englishman and hoped to die an Englishman. "Man," scoffed the Scot, "have you no ambition at all?"

The USA team got to the final 16. That's a measure of them being one of the 16 best teams in the world. Better than Italy, England, Spain, Portugal and a slew of other former powerhouses. If you don't like that assessment, then boo hoo for you.

If you think 'winning is everything' then that might explain your sour grapes attitude.

'nobody has a hard on' hmmm? I don't get sexual arousal from sports, not even if it's very fit sweaty men running around in shorts. Do you?

greatest top 10 soccer strikers of all time

(where are the current fellas?)

First of all, this is cherry picking.

Secondly, never said the stars of yesterday were not good. My point is, the game has changed a lot since the "good old days".

Finally, I'm not sure what your point here really is.
