A sneak peek into Changi Airport Terminal 4

Presenting a glimpse of what passengers will experience at Terminal 4 when it opens in 2017.

A bit more modern, but It does remind me of the Schiphol airport

Also seems similar to Narita although a little more modern.

Haven't been there for awhile, have they improved the taxiays, as they were quite bumpy with the aircraft going over the expansion joints?

Changi really is an amazing airport. The art and free wi-fi and public lounges make even a long layover not so unbearable. Thailand and many other countries should learn a thing or two from them.

"Clarity in wayfinding" ? Could they clarify the meaning of this?

Obviously, they don't expect many people to be using the airport. Why dont planners anticipate crowds of impatient, frustrated, delayed and noisy passengers ? If they do, why not show the true situation, instead of this fairy tale?. Has anyone ever been through an airport terminal with so few people ?

Actually, Changi with its current three terminals only gets crowded on Fridays and Sundays. At times, the terminals can be emptier than in this video simulation. Part of it is design and part of it is efficiency. Upon landing, I can get from the plane to my house in under 40 minutes. A simple passport scan to go through immigration and no customs check (none of the 20 questions BS you get in other places). You've just got to know the best times/days to depart/arrive.

Yes Swampy three weeks ago at 16:00, was like a ghost town.

My 3 arrivals in the past year in the evenings {6-10/pm} have had lineups where my average wait time was about 20 minutes. Though i walk way faster than most people leaving the plane & sit near the front, so am one of the first off. Like in BKK sometimes some people butt ahead in the lineup, or try to. BKK lineups tend to be longer, though the lines move just as fast as in SG. In SG i get a free 3 months on arrival & a small stamp in the PP, whereas with LOS it is only 2 months at a time with more than a page taken up with a tourist visa i have to pay for. Though at times i get 2 or 3 entries with that visa.
