Hi everyone!

Well..I leave for Thailand in 11 days and I am getting soooo excited!!! We arrive in Singapore the 7th of July and from there go to Phuket, then to Koh Phi Phi, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Phanagan, Bangkok and finishing up again in Singapore.

My question is...are there boats from each of these islands that can take us to the next, or will we have to boat back to say Phuket from Phi Phi Ley to get to Krabi? If anyone has any idea about boat travel and/or where the docks are on these islands it would be much appreciated!!!!!

Also if you have any other good reccomendations on things to see, places to eat, best shopping and beachs...please let me know..i want to try and fit everything in within that month even though I know I am never going to want to leave!!!

Any stories are much appreciated and anticipated!

Thanks!! :o

i remember takeing a bus from Phuket that drove an hour or so then getting on a boat to Krabi, cant remember in detail, But yes you have to take a boat from Phuket th Phi Phi, I recommend you dont go with tour groups on phi phi, I say its better to hire your own boat and driver. Its better as you can go where you want to go and stay as long at a place that you want.

Its pretty cheap too.

arrrr 11 days, you lucky man

So you are able to hire your own boat to go from island to island? That would definetly be preferrable...have you been to most of the islands that i'm heading to? can you recommend anything i have to do or see? haha im sorry about all the questions I'm just getting so excited!!! :o

Im not sure if you can hire a boat going from Island to Island, and yes i went too all the islands you talking about.

Phuket, you should try and stay in Patong if your not going with the gf and looking for some fun. Even with the gf you will love it, she might not from all the girls grabbing down below while you walk past.

Ive only stayed in Krabi for a short time so im not sure about the tours there.

Becareful in Koh Phanagan, especially with your belongings, as even there hotel safes can be a risk, make sure you stay at a good hotel there to minimise the risks.

Hire your own boat in Phi Phi, get him to take you all around the Island and to the beach place, you will love it.

I wish i was going in 11 days.

Im sure your going to have alot of fun.

Just watch your wallet

If you're travelling to Phuket/Krabi then on to Samui, the islands are on different sides of the country. You'd have to sail back round Singapore to get from the West to the East coast

you can get ferry to Phi Phi, stop for a few days and then get the onward ferry to krabi. Lanta is nice to see as well, on the same route .

samui you can drive accross the "finger" of thailand and then get a ferry there or fly from phuket airport straight to samui and then get the ferry to Koh Phanagan and from there to Koh Tao is you want to.

then from there you can either fly from samui to bangkok or get the ferry to chumpon and then car/train/bus to bangkok

depends how much time you want to spend on the bus :o

the ferrys are all good fun, some of them need condemned right enough :D

the lomprayah catamaran has a nice fast service from samui to phangyan to tao and then to chumpon and onward to bangkok
