Northern people warned of flash floods, mudslides

The Meteorological Department Monday warned people living near hillsides in northern provinces to brace themselves against flash floods and mudslides.

The department issued a statement that people in Mae Hong Son, Tak, Uttaradit, Lampang and Phrae should be prepared to cope up with flash floods and mudslides, especially those living near hillsides.

The department explained that the clash of southwest wind and southeast wind would unleash heavy rains in many parts of northern and central regions and Bangkok from Monday to Thursday.
