Using DHL for moving boxes. Transit from EU to TH

Hello,
Does anyone have experience using DHL to transport their moving goods, i.e cloths, shoes, electronics to Thailand? I'm talking about my own stuff which have all been payed before. It's not gonna be trip, hence I'll move there.
My intention: pack all my clothing stuff into one box
(min. 15 x 11 x 1 cm
max. 120 x 60 x 60 cm) - 10kg, 60€ to TH
and send it right to TH. I have no idea what I should write into the customs paper. The content, my own used cloths, consisting of expensive shirts, shoes and a great load of suits (lol). I will most likely write exactly that- in English and Thai: "Moving Boxes. Own cloths etc."
Here's my concern:
1) Custom guys opens the box, sees expensive shirts and suits and abruptly has Euro symbols in his eyes. He either tries to take those stuff himself or
2) He's going to say, eff that guy and his "moving boxes". The content is worth 2000€+ and I'm going to bill that MF a heavy, nifty import tax.
(oh oh...)
I consider DHL or any other because of fast flight transportation. Is this whole operation worth it? I don't want to use ship packaging and wait 1-2 months..
I can visualize the possibilities what could happen or not.. but I'm just unsure about it and I would appreciate any feedback on that matter.
Thanks

P.S I don't have the receipt for each item anymore! I guess that will get me into more "trouble"?

I have sent packages in various sizes several times to Thailand from US and SWEDEN. This is what I learned:

1. They don't care about clothes, books, used items as computers and electronics not in original packaging. It doesn't matter if it is Giorgio Armani suits or the latest Alienware computer - as long as it is not in original packaging. Customs people are not globetrotters. They know SAMSONITE but not TUMI, thus thinking the SAMSONITE is more expensive. And they would think that your GA-suit is fake.

2. They DO care if it is unusual parts, or known expensive stuff in original packaging for example a DUCATI engine or 5 Ipad's. You got the point.

3. If paranoia is your friend I would avoid DHL. I sent 2 equal items - one with DHL and one with EMS from US. The one with EMS I paid 1600B in import tax. The one with DHL was 25500B in import tax for no obvious reason than "guessing".

But for you, number 1 applies. No reason to worry. Go for it.

Thanks a lot, Mr Yang!

Your infos are really insightful! I guess I'll avoid my packaging, because I have at least 2 monitor packages, which I intended to transport my cloths etc. Well, the packages were still there ever since and I just thought: hmm, there're not too big and clumsy, still in proper shape and it can easily carry up to 10kg of stuff.

Nevertheless, one Samsung 27" and the other is an Acer monitor box. I've put all my clothing stuff there. When they get to open it, they'll see anything apart from actual monitors.

I googled around and I also dig into Thaivisa. It seems FEDEX is not your best friend sending stuff to TH?! We don't have EMS here in Germany.

May I ask you about Nr.3. Did you purchase something new and what kind of item was that? 25500B - That's <deleted> 578€!!!

1. Clothes in monitor packaging is NO PROBLEM.

2. Don't know about FEDEX, but DHL will not be a problem for you.

3. It was a Segway.

Another option is to travel with Qatar Airlines - They are one of few Airlines allowing for 30kg luggage in Economy Class and as they don't really weigh in your carry-on, you could basically have 40kg without any problem. Do notice - Any kilo above 30 and they could legally add 40-80USD/kilo, depending on your flight. However 30-32 seems to be ok.

The 30kg rule is common to most airlines in the middle east.

Some tickets for American Airlines allows 3 x 30kg.

Your biggest problem with shipping could be the fact it takes forever to reach your destination. After all, this is LOS, anything can and will happen.
