mrtoad Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Why can Thailand never achieve anything worth talking about without corruption being involved ? Wait, I'm gonna sit down to watch the pink goggle brigade slag me off for this one. From a remote position? Sent from my GT-I9500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app 1
ratcatcher Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Theres a surprise. Anyway shes still fit Sent from my GT-I9500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app Anyway shes still fit...............as a fiddle. 1
mrtoad Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I went to one of her concerts back in the 90s I think I spent most of the concert with my tongue out drooling.
MJP Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I went to one of her concerts back in the 90s I think I spent most of the concert with my tongue out drooling. . . . and not because of the popcorn.
roamer Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Why does the title say that they were arrested then the article say that they were suspended? He he! Well as the OP my title was quite different and reflected my overall views of the general honesty of Thai officials. Obviously when moving the post from General Topics it was decided to edit the title, somewhat inaccurately it would appear....
englishoak Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 No surprises its been found to be dodgy, she should have never been there and i do believe her qualifying against teens to get the required points was the only way to get her there. shame her morals dont fit the body.
mrtoad Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I went to one of her concerts back in the 90s I think I spent most of the concert with my tongue out drooling. . . . and not because of the popcorn. No, it was the great music, lol.
englishoak Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 On the fiddle seems to be a national Thai sport 1

No, it was the great music, lol. Since you enjoy her music, perhaps you'd enjoy her version of "hair on a G string" 2
UbonRatch Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 This thread is useless without pictures . . . Well my missus beats her hands down.. and has a brain too! She aint nothing special, unless you like snow. \\ Edit: In fact, if you take a good look, she's one heck of an ugly frog. 1

mrtoad Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 RC, that video got me drooling again, lol. Took me back 18 years ago, Colston Hall, Bristol. 2
Popular Post Just1Voice Posted July 11, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 11, 2014 Chances are, she personally had no idea the "fix was in", but can't say for sure. Either way, the Thai official were doing what just come naturally to them: If legal doesn't work for you, bribery will. Thainess at it's finest. 3
fish fingers Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I don't expect she had a clue and anyway, isn't it fairly normal for sports officials to accept bribes? If it didn't involve her, it doesn't change what she achieved imo, she worked hard to get there and enjoyed it
Thai at Heart Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Where the hell do they find a Thai Winter Olympics Official?
daveAustin Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I think they should all hang, apart from the lovely Vanessa that is. Well she's not really Thai after all. As an aside, if they ever incorporate graft as an Olympic discipline, I think we all know who would secure gold.
WhizBang Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I have to admit, I did wonder how she managed to qualify. Amazing Thailand, indeed.
Diablo Bob Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I think that many are forgetting that she finished the competition...... unlike 23 other who did not finish..... Or to put it another way, she was 67th out of 90 entered at the end of the day, she was more than qualified to be at Sochi. 1
Payboy Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 If only there was an Olympics for bribery and corruption? Wait there is!
BSJ Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Half Thai, half Chinese, born in Singapore and lives in Britain. I am guessing if she was any good they would all have been wanting her to ski for them!
ezzra Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I think if they would have put the fix in to send chalerm yubamrung instead of Vanessa mae he would have stood a better chance in winning,,, skiing with his (borrowed) Rolls Royce
kratiam Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 All Thai girls love snow... yet they hate the cold. Can't quite for out of Vanessa played in B flat most of the time, or A major... I think it must have been B flat on your back, judging by her skiiing results. Famous my arse,,, she's now known for fiddling though. What ARE you talking about?...pure rubbish!
Just1Voice Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I think that many are forgetting that she finished the competition...... unlike 23 other who did not finish..... Or to put it another way, she was 67th out of 90 entered at the end of the day, she was more than qualified to be at Sochi. No, not if her times and position were rigged in the competitions PRIOR to Sochi to get her there.
pisico Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Officials from Thailand and an Eastern block country, corrupt. No surprise here. I wonder what incentives were offered from the Thai officials? What its famous for? Sent from my GT-I9500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app Cheap beer?
harrry Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 So they got got a group of people who can ski about as well as I can so she did not come last......I would have thought that was a case of encouraging knew entrants to the competition scene and was probably locally government supported.
