Can anyone advise me on the availability and cost of one-room apartments in Songkhla Town? I am just interested something cheap and quiet with, wi-fi, preferably near the main drag where the universities are.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I know you heard this before, but just get there & have a look around. Some of the local expats might be able to put you in the right direction. try around

The Buz Stop Irish bar, sure George & some of the locals can help.

Thanks, but where is the aforementioned Buz Stop bar? I lived in Songkhla Town about 15 years ago, so I know the layout. Is the strip of bars we used to call "The Darkside" still active?

(OffShore is the only bar name I can remember)

To answer my own query for anyone else who may need an answer in the future.

Good, clean one-room apartment next to TSU (walking distance) with wifi = 4000baht/month, water and electric extra.

2,000 baht deposit prior to move in.

One-year contract with two months in advance, non-refundable if you don't stay at least one year.

Not sure if it's the same place, but L Residence is new and fits the bill.
