Is is true Penang Thai Consulate rejects third tourist visa application?

Featured Replies

Hi all, i'm heading in the end of this month to Penang to apply for a new Tourist Visa (i already have two tourist visas from January 2014 separated by a 12 days travel to Japan). Is it true i will have my visa application rejected since they do this automatically when they find more than 2 TR in your passport? Has anybody experienced this recently?

Thanks

it does not matter if they give you a visa it will be up to the mood of the immigration officer to let you in or not

Your best choice now would be Laos. Also Penang have an habit of refusing visa if you had extended them for 30 days (fees jealousy).

When I was in Penanag, a visa agency told me that was the case. They frown upon issuing a third one.

Roo, when was that?

After reading about many expat's entry into Thailand being denied with tourist visas, I think that even if you do receive a third tourist visa - your real concer should be will Thai immigrations stamp you in?

i will be traveling by air so i'm not really worried about that

Penang and KL have been known for years refusing multiple back to back tourists.
