Backpacking guide Ko Lanta.

Featured Replies

Hi. Im new here in Thaivisa.

From Kuala Lumpur.

Really like Krabi and Phiphi. Been there 3 times already backpacking.

Hi mnazrin91 and welcome to TV Forum.

This particular Krabi Forum is very sleepy, not sure you will get a response regarding a backpacker guide,my suggestion would be Lonely Planet's latest.

Best of luck.

I used to live on Lanta, i have many friends there and visit twice a year .. what do you want to know ?

How's the bridge coming along, or is it coming along at all?

lol .. I was there last week after my last visit over Songkran. It looks like its moving. I was thinking, to presume this to be finished within the next 12 months might be asking too much, but i could be surprised, more like 2 years away before anyones driving on it.

i don't know if i would use it, they just hammer concrete 'supports' anyhow, into the mud, then shutter around them, then fill with concrete. I guess the Phuket and Songkhla bridges are the same construction, but it looks way sketchy.

I may have some footage from my helmet cam, hoping to post some stills if i can.
