Fitting an alarm to a motorbike (crf250l) - chiang mai

Featured Replies

Hi

I live in a bit of a bad neighbourood. I park my bike outside and id like to fit an alarm.

Ive never seen bike alarms for sale in chiang mai. But i have seen a few bikes that seemed to have after market alarms fitted.

Where can i get such an alarm fitted and what is the cost?

Thanks

Just a thought - but if you live in a dodgy area and the alarm goes off - what will you do? Rush out and possibly rin into a group of bike thieves?

How about getting a really good lock and heavy chain and lock it to something solid?

From my experience bike alarms just give you a sleepless night and a flat battery.

Most thieves will move on to the next bike (possibly yours) when the alarm goes off! Its usually not worth the trouble.

yes of course. i dont expect bike thieves to greet you next to the bike after alarm goes off.

use a xena lock and some chain.

I had a zena lock and had a lot of false alarms with it. Took the battery out. Maybe they are better now.

I dont want a disc lock. Its a pain to keep taking it on and off. I was thinking more about like a remote control alarm or one that works with a key

The new scooters (like the pcx) have alarms, maybe you could retro fit one to the crf?
Also, I am sure ebay has a lot of options for you, alarms that are simple to fit and movement activated. That would put all but the most desperate thieves off and I am sure crfs are not high on their lists.
