sae57
Different experiences at different offices--I switched from a work to a marriage visa to so as not to be a slave to my employer. Then switched to retirement to avoid the annual humiliation (and /every/ year fabricating some new requirement so that I had to make an extra trip to bring in the new docs). Indeed it was one of the agents who treated me most like a bug who suggested that the retirement would be easier. This in BKK. Now live in Roiet & go to imm. at Amnat Chroen--relaxed and friendly. Only complaint is that they refuse to accept 90 day reporting by mail, so its a two-three hour drive every 90 days... While doing the marriage, never had any problem with withdrawing cash after the initial application had been made and I wasn't aware that anyone actually came to check whether we were really living together as husband and wife. --S
