Is there a pest spray that kills/deters centipedes?

One thing I don't want in my house are centipedes - they can give a nasty bite if disturbed.

Usually they stay outside in our area, but I just opened the door to one of my rooms (ground floor, rural location) and there was an 8-inch centipede just inside the door!

I can try to block all entry holes using draught excluders etc, but is there a specific pest chemical that will deter them from entering the house?

I am already using ant power along the wall/floor join and windows to deter/kill ants - that works ok.

Why not get some Guinea Fowl (Gai Tok) for your garden, decorative and they eat all sorts of bugs (yes centipedes too).

They don't scratch like chickens so your lawn and borders are safe.

And they lay delicious eggs smile.png

The Thai call their Centipedes 'Tajab'  None of the safe pest control products kill them. Most that get into our house get in via the underfloor drainage which has an inspection shaft in the garden. Tajab tend only to come in at this time of the year. We dose the underfloor drain with Bleach once a week July to November. For the last eight years that  has been effective.  We have never found any to control those that come in through doorways.

while they are nasty and can bite, keep in mind they love to eat cockroaches.

Everyone who eat cockroaches or mosquitos is my friend smile.png

So try to not kill them in places where it is possible (I don't know any example of place where people and centipedes can co-exist, but maybe there are some).

I had the other day crawl one over my bare foot, as i picked up a cloth and the centipede fell out of it straight on my foot, without biting me.

He won't tell his story to his friends though.
