PATTAYA:--Late on Tuesday Night Nongprue Police in conjunction with the Royal Thai Navy conducted raids on two houses inside an East Pattaya Village and arrested 5 suspects thought to be connected with an illegal money lending operation.

The simultaneous raids took place at two houses inside the Egmongkol Village 4 Estate off Soi Kaotalo just after 9.30pm.

At the first house there were 2 people inside, Khun Bodin aged 18 and Khun Ronachit aged 27. Two books indicating loan amounts and customer details were seized along with a bank book and both men were arrested and taken to the Police Station.

At the second house 3 suspects were detained, named as Khun Anupat aged 29, Khun Pirapong aged 21 and Khun Hernfar also aged 21.
