pinkpanther99
Hi there I'm trying to find somewhere in HH that sells almond butter. I've tried Villa Market and although they have some pretty good peanut butter, it's almond butter I'm after. Tesco - no have Big C - no have. Any other suggestions? Are there any health food shops in Hua Hin? Thanks in advance!
Popular Post iSabai
I would imagine it'd be easy to make your own PP, if you can source almonds at a decent price. All you'd need is a food processor, probably a few spices; salt and/or whatever other flavors you like. Google, or check recipe websites for some ideas.
writeshack
Buy peeled blanched almonds at Makro or wherever, put them in a blender with a little of your favourite oil and pulse, adding a bit more oil as needed until you have the consistency you want. Even better if you lightly dry roast the almonds first. Don't burn them. Easy peasy. Edited August 6, 2014 by writeshack

Popular Post duanebigsby
I grew up in Kenya, east Africa and I was always jealous of the Military kids, because they had mustard, ketchup, salad dressings, mayonnaise, and peanut butter all sent from "home."My mum grew up on a farm and she made everything from scratch. Man! we were hard done by with homemade 1000 Island, ranch, Caesar dressings, and homemade jams, mayo, ketchup and mustards. The list goes on.I was amazed back home how many of my friends would buy spaghetti sauce in a jar, tahini, Mexican salsa, Indian spices, and dressings, tons of stuff easy to make at home.I was going on a little day trip with a friend and we decided to make sandwiches,; he was shocked when I whipped up the mayonnaise.

pinkpanther99
Sounds delicious, may I ask what you will be using it for? Always interested in new foods to consume It is delicious. I like peanut butter but often the stuff you find is packed with sugars and all other kinds of nasty stuff (although you can get a pretty decent organic peanut butter in Villa Market). Almond butter is very good. I put it in my morning smoothie - it works very well believe it or not and is a good source of protein and healthy fats. I also mix a spoonful into natural yoghurt I have over mango or papaya. Or sometimes I just eat it right out of the jar!!
Kaoboi Bebobp
Villa in Pattaya and Bangkok stock Healthy Mate brand of almond butter so I'm surprised you can't find it in the Hua Hinh outlet.
