Popular Post webfact
Lottery loser redecorates home with his shame By Coconuts BangkokBANGKOK: -- What would do you if you wasted more than THB4 million on lottery tickets that yielded less than 10 percent? Burn them all, craft a paper mache idol or reuse them as coasters? One Pathum Thani man decided to assemble them into a mural of his shame to remind himself never to make a bet again. Pipop Panyaem, deputy mayor of the Khlong Luang district and father of two, had been testing his luck since 1999, spending more than THB10,000 per purchase, according to Sanook. In 13 years, Pipop estimates having spent more than THB4 million to win less than THB400,000. Popular Post Pomthai
Well, if he has 4 mill to burn, then perhaps he doesn't need to win the lottery anyway. And Karma agrees.

Popular Post clockman
The lottery is so corrupt anyway. No transparency. Steal from the poor and disabled. Should have been stopped and a legal lottery put in its place. If the military want to stop corruption. Get rid of it now.

worgeordie
The odds were against him. Never understood why they would pay so much for a ticket when the prizes are not that many and top prize 3m bht ? regards worgeordie

Thaddeus
So he spent more then 25000 Baht per month. I wonder what his facial expression would be if someone showed him how much money he would have now if he had put it in to a savings account every month. What a strange thing to say. International rates have nothing to do with anything here.
useronthenet
Another well-executed SCAM at the expense of the people. I wonder if we will ever know how much revenue was gained from this exercise ? Is there no end to which those perpetrators will invent new ways to con the Thai public ? What a carry-on !
chainarong
Well lets face it, lotto is gambling, so where does this sit with the police, just thought I'd remind them after their piss poor effort during the soccer world cup B/S.

Pib
I don't believe his lottery tickets over the years only yielded him 10% return. Why all my in-laws and Thai friends talk like they win all the time. I guess that's why they always buy more lottery tickets. Yea, this guy is just unlucky. FangFerang
The second biggest corruption in Thailand -- the Lottery. Companies, three companies, pay for the tickets ahead of time. Less than half are sold. Anyone want to venture a guess how many times those three companies -- supposedly selling lottery tickets -- have won the lottery? It's legal, of course, they paid for the tickets...... Yeah, right. This is one of hundreds of examples of how the current push to get rid of corruption is a very selective, uneven effort, and ineffective to boot.
ParadiseLost
Didn't an entire batch of tickets go missing a few months ago? ...
