Do some maths on the effect of inflation and the severely reduced spending power having your pension frozen in time day for 10 years. And then consider why having contributed equally they should be discriminated against particularly when they will not be burdening the NHS with costs. But I expect maths isn't really your forte... -

Any news on the inurance requirment for OA visa
I'm not 100% convinced that it is a reduction in Health Insurance requirements as although the inpatient amount has been reduced, they've re-introduced the (IMHO Pointless ) Outpatients requirement. Has anybody who has insurance covering the current requirements got a quote for changing to meet the new requirements? FWIW If it were me, I wouldn't reduce my Inpatient cover below $100K anyway so would end up paying more to add on the Outpatients. -

Your Two Months Rental Deposit
2 Month's Rent as the Security Deposit. Often heard common in Thailand. But not in my case. When I checked in at my apartment years ago, that deposit was only 2000B(less than one month rent itself). And even when the property owner collects 2 months on guests' c/in, it is usually fully refundable on their c/out. Unless any damages are done to the property. Or any money is owed to the landlord. While some places come with the condition it is not returned to the tenants if the tenancy period is less than 3 months(unsure how common this practice is). -

Thai's don't care, they march on doing the same stupid and dangerous things they always do, no matter how unsafe. I asked an IMPACT employee/guard today why the people are going right through a "STOP" sign in front of him at full speed. They manage the area here in Muang Thong Thani. The traffic in both directions have a "STOP" sign at the intersection, and both have Zebra crossings directly in front of them. The answer from the guard "This isn't America", after telling him he was pretty stupid, I realized there is no changing these dangerous people. -
