You people are a sorrowful bunch.   Last night you stayed up hoping she wouldn't return so you can make your ugly comments.  Now she comes back and you start your insults.   Very disgusting group of people here.

this and good luck to Thailand's first female PM who should not be hounded by this pack of TVF dogs

Well the good luck she might already have had. I mean with such amount of luggage some people would still be at the airport next week trying to find all the receipts for the stuff bought or trying to convince that they really had it with them already when starting their trip.

Surely must feel good to be an Amply Rich Elite Defender of Democracy and The People rolleyes.gif

give her a break Rubl she has been found guilty of NOTHING except breaking the mold and being Thailand's first female PM (and winning the election of course)
and of course not investigating crimes by her red shirts and "managing" the rice scheme in such a way that there was no more money for the farmers and 500 billion gone.

No immigration? Wow! Must be nice .

Did she go through customs so they could check she was not bringing in goods over the allowed duty free values?

How many pieces of luggage did she come back with? Was it searched,

She might be an ousted caretaker PM/DM with considerable investigations hanging over her, but still treated as a VIP and above the law.

Just a big game to the HiSo elites like her that never have to worry because laws and rules simply don't apply.

By all means, please call her on her private line and give her our apologies for ever doubting her.  After all, we should have learned from all the rice farmers how trusting she is and how much she means to them.  She is an absolute paragon of virtue and one we should esteem as greatly as you do.  Give her a kiss for all the rest of us disgusting people.  Tell her that we hope she gets all the attention she deserves.

Gives the Junta a bit of a difficult balancing act. If they are too zealous in their pursuit of her they will alienate her supporters whilst if they aren't forceful enough they will alienate their own supporters. And if she is found not guilty, then there this in effect means there was very little legal and political justification for the coup.

How do you achieve political reconciliation whilst prosecuting the leader of the last democratically elected government? Bit of a paradox.

jonclark.... go look at yourself in a mirror..   Yinluck was NOT democratically elected , she was bought into power so you could say corruption pure corruption got her into power.  What do you think this military coup is all about..  Wake up....wai2.gif

Don Muang still has immigration, if you can afford the private jet you can afford to have the immigration folk come on board and process you return.

As to the luggage, if you take the time to read the latest post from the Thai media informs us that she had 15 pieces that were loaded into a private van.

Please ensure brain is in operation prior to engaging mouth/keyboard.

Agree 100%

These opinions/ make up stories are from the land of fairies. Some could not sleep last night, thinking about what bile to post, now she has come back, lets invent something else now.

Yes - the Shins are truly wonderful benevolent salt of the earth honest folk . From a poor humble beginnings they made good through hard honest toil and skill. Now they try to benefit society through their capable honest and transparent governance, which all members of the family are will to do.Truly working tirelessly and selfishly for a better, fairer, wealthier society for all.

There - another nice little fairy story for you.

Ah, sarcasm, the lowest form of wit. Good to see you're as sharp as a sausage this morning.

Nice to be able to afford a private jet - shame the farmers who were driven to suicide when her "vows" to pay them came to nothing didn't have a fraction of her clan's wealth.

So you know immigration stamped her in and that customs were happy all was in order. 15 cases out, 15 cases in -all the contents the same.

How wonderful the elite can travel so comfortably. So quaint.

Sorry you are so sorrowful MB.  I have favourably commented on her return as recently as yesterday, as have many other "non-red-apologisers"   No don't be naughty & ignore the many posts that have appeared on this matter, that don't suit your agenda!   Bad on you. Good on her.  She provisionally goes up in my estimation.

Sorry, but I don't believe she's back!!!    Wouldn't it be in her interest to show the public that she really is back and that she believes in Thai justice because she's innocent and has nothing to hide???!!!     Without pictures/video, sorry, I'm a sceptic!!

Private jet from Singapore  ...  how the protectors-of-the-poor really live  ...  it should be on "lives of the rich and famous" ! rolleyes.gif

She's not a "protector-of-the-poor", she is a private citizen.

If she were still PM would you expect her to travel on a scheduled flight?  Does anyone in a similar position anywhere in the world do that?

what is even more surprising is the fact that she has actually told the truth, at last she has done what she said she would do for the first time. Pity she never kept any of her other promises but at least she has more gumption than her chicken hearted brother, pity she will have to face jail time to make up for all of his meddling.

If it's T's idea that she return home, then he's playing a high-stakes game in terms of public sentiment and issues of morality - at least high stakes for him and his family. If it all goes pear-shape for her, then T and co lose the moral high ground on the world stage, and destroy what remaining shreds of support they have in Thailand, and this is very likely anyway. So what is going on? I seriously doubt a deal has been done with the junta as the rice scheme is far too significant to be nudged aside or diminished in any way. This is very intriguing as I doubt YL is returning as a matter of principle, nor to continue the good fight on behalf of the Shins. There is simply no way she is going to expose herself to the risk of incarceration when she has the resources to spend the rest of her life in luxury.

You are severely underestimating the support they have in Thailand, otherwise they would not have won every single election they stood in.

And you have no idea of the amount of money it cost to get that support. Fortunately the army does have some idea. That is why the electoral laws will be changed so politicians cannot buy votes with threats, cash or populist policies irrespective of what province, party, or "colour" they campaign under.  (That MIGHT stop the But, but, but Suthep, Abhisit, automatic knee-jerk response that almost inevitably ensues from the good doctor and his PTP/UDD apologist cohorts, but don't bet on it.)

Just like the break she gave the unpaid farmers when she vowed they would be paid. Just another lie among many. Thailand's first puppet PM controlled from overseas through IT. Now that is a first.

This has nothing to do with whether or not Ms. Yingluck can afford to have immigration come to her on the private plane.

Most normal people have to go to the arrival hall, even VIPs who have their own counter there. Why would immigration go out of their way to oblige Ms. Yingluck?

I sincerely agree with you. She has come back and still the insults on this forum continue - but if we believe in Karma then all this mud and dirt will come 100 X on their heads and I won't be sad to hear it happening. She was dux of her class in Chiang Mai University and graduated honorably. Her achievements and work have been exemplary and we should never forget who stopped the rice payments to the farmers - they too have to face their KARMA. Those thugs and vicious despicables who took their money out of the bank and issued threats are the true ones who caused tragedy in the Kingdom.

She has come back to clear her involvement and I hope that 'reason' wins in her defense and those who wrought ed the system are caught and punished. Anyway, those on this forum were quick to keep the lies going on how much was missing and really hate it when the percentage is now known. They can't handle being so wrong - they would rather support the bankrupt murderer - the great leader -  of the innocent in their quest to damage and destroy a 'good' person. I believe this dirt will come back and smother them in time - it is a law of the universe - unstoppable!!!

Yingluck returns to Thailand after her scheduled trip

BANGKOK, 11 August 2014 (NNT) - Former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at Don Meuang Airport this morning unannounced; her team was last seen loading several pieces of luggage into two separate vans.

Ms. Yingluck had just flown in from Singapore in a private jet after her scheduled trip to Europe had recently ended. The former premier kept a rather low-profile on this trip to avoid the attention of journalists and was immediately taken to her home.

Earlier, the former Pheu Thai premier had been granted permission by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to schedule a trip to Europe from July 20th to August 10th. There are claims that while abroad she was seen having dinner with her brother Thaksin Shinawatra and her brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat.

"Former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at Don Meuang Airport this morning"

The usual sloppy reporting by theNation. She arrived late yesterday night before the 10th of august was finished in Thailand. Allegedly that isrolleyes.gif

So far we have two reports...one   a repost by Tulsathit with a photo of someone next to luggage and and van and one saying the vehicle went into the airport to collect her.  We have no verifiable report of her return.

Your still holding out for hope she didn't return.   Accept it SHE'S BACK and will fight the charges in the court not here on TV.

Frankly she can try to fight the charges.

Personally I think she was used by her brother but I guess that applies to about 50 million other people in Thailand too.

What I find interesting is the way one or two  unverified reports can suddenly become fact.

Using your desperate-clinging-at-straws-hope-she-doesn't-return logic, the media's reports that she left Thailand a couple of weeks ago are also unverified (except by the media) and therefore not "harrry" fact, so she is still in Thailand.

The only reports that the public will ever get about her whereabouts will come from the media, I doubt that Yingluck will be presented at your door anytime soon to confirm that she has returned, so in the meantime we, and the rest of the population, have to rely on media reports, as we do with everything.

Not only seriously underestimating the "support" and influence they have in Thailand but possibly that YL might even have a plan for the future.... I for one applaud her coming back and hope that she gets a very "fair go" .... whatever anyone says, she's the most attractive political poster representative of Thailand anyone has seen in a while... maybe ever! Hey! Don't tell me you think "looks" don't matter!
