NancyL Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 In response to popular demand, Khun Chan, the manager of River Market Restaurant has purchased "proper" coffee mugs for everyone to enjoy at the Chiang Mai Expats Club Coffee Morning. No more little espresso mugs for your morning coffee (what was Dave thinking when he bought those?) Test out the new mugs this Friday, August 15, from 10 am - 12:00 noon at River Market Restaurant, located on the west side of the Iron Bridge. The famous optional breakfast buffet is available for 220 baht for CEC members, 270 baht for guests. CEC Coffee Morning at River Market Restaurant -- no program, just a chance to make new friends, meet old friends, enjoy great food and now drink some excellent coffee out of a proper cup. Here is a photo of the mugs that Khun Chan purchased from their supplier: Indra Cermanic, in Lampang
theDukes Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I bought the mugs Nancy. But not the bowl in the picture. They have a huge actual coffee cup inside the shop and I want to buy/get/steal one sometime. Holds about 10 gallons. Looks nice. D
NancyL Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 This is news? Have you actually gone to Coffee Morning and checked out the new coffee mugs? We had a new enhancement today. All CEC members received their very own copy of Citylife magazine from the newest CEC sponsor. The biggest complaint you hear about Citylife magazine is how you can never find a copy. Well, Chiang Mai Expats Club has solved that problem! Citylife magazine is now a sponser and has committed to bringing enough copies to the first Coffee Morning of each month at River Market Restaurant -- the first Friday! Now that's really News! Almost as good as Dave buying new coffee mugs.
