eggers
Renewed my Retirement Visa on August 5 & was due to report on Aug 29. Friend advised do not need to report on Aug 29 as renewal date is taken as report date; hence report date would be Nov 03. Believe still need to report irrespective of when renew. Is that correct? ubonjoe
Only the first extension counts as a 90 day report. You will need to do your report on the 29th.
craig
I was told by Chnburi Immigration that the extension of the retirement visa does NOT count as a 90 day report...they are different things.
Suradit69
I was told by Chnburi Immigration that the extension of the retirement visa does NOT count as a 90 day report...they are different things. Of course. The 90 day report is, as the name implies, required every uninterrupted 90 days you are in the country, allowing for some leeway in when you report. The chance of it coinciding with the date when you renew your extension is limited and even if you could do both at the same time it would require two separate forms and (at most offices) two different officers performing the different procedures. Renewed my Retirement Visa on August 5 & was due to report on Aug 29. Not you visa, your extension of stay. Visas can't be renewed or extended.
