One of my colleagues is working with a tourist visa. He only has until the first week of September when his contract finishes. He has been going on visa runs while he has been working. Just to be on the safe side he would like to get the nonimmB, however to get everything together takes too long.

My question: Is there a type of visa that you can get for temporary employment, so he can be safely be employed during the remainder of his contract (without all the paperwork)?

Also, how much does it cost? He would like to get it from Penang.

Sugest your colleague gets a B visa and work permit pronto....assuming that is, the job he's doing is one that's not reserved for Thais. If he doesn't and he gets caught working he'll get free accommodation untill his court case, sentenced and then deported.

Get yourself a Non-Immigrant 'B' visa and work permit or face the consquences if you are caught working illegally.
