Kingston SD card headaches

I just figure most in BKK are fake

first the ones sold on the street are too cheap,

and when you walk the street markets around Chinatown etc the sellers have piles of them , and these are guys selling 20-50-100 baht stuff who could never afford to have piles of "real" kingston drives ,

....

Do you mean that area around the end of Worachak, with a street market filled with all sorts of tech junk, etc? Somewhere in there is a big building that's sort of an indoor bazaar selling anything from lamps to fishing tackle. It's my favorite shopping area in Bangkok, and I always get lost looking for that street, I usually start out in that covered market that goes on for blocks and try to find it from there.

Once I saw someone selling Sony rechargeable AA batteries with a mA rating I never saw so high (maybe 3500mA ?). I figured it was either something new from Japan or fake, and it cost 150 to find out. Well, at least whatever it was didn't ruin my gadget.

I wouldn't recommend buying memory cards, batteries, or any tech stuff that's intricately operational, but it's great for stuff like tools, cases, opticals (magnifyers, glasses, etc), torches, and whatever else. And don't believe any brand names!
