Internship for mechanical engineering student

I am a 31-year-old UK national in my second year of an accredited four-year mechanical engineering at a university in Malaysia.  Due to some course restructuring and other events, I have to find an internship for the upcoming period of early September - late December/early January.  Although my interest is primarily in upstream field operations, I understand that it will not be possible to gain appropriate safety clearances/certification within the next few weeks, so I am open to any experience with any major engineering firm.  I do not speak Thai.  I am willing to relocate to anywhere within Thailand.  I know this is a long shot, but I have no choice given my change in circumstances.
