Hey guys,

I'm visiting Bangkok in a day and I'd like to know where I can find shops that sell Toyota GT86 parts, I already have a few friends who gave me a few business cards (RDP clutch racing shop, they mentioned a few wheel shops over there) and so on.

My question is, where can I find work wheels for my car? not necessarily original, can anyone post up the details in thai so that I can show it to the taxi driver and he can just take me there? AND, where can I find performance parts for my car, I am looking for engine and suspension upgrade mostly (I was also given a business card of AEK garage which is a well known garage in Bangkok), any other ideas and places you guys can help me with? I'll be really really grateful! thank you!

Anything near Siam will be awesome.

I wouldn't buy work wheels here.

With taxes already included you're best off buying them elsewhere.

Import duties make this hobby an expensive one.

I have a friend who bought wheels and then shipped them off from there, to be honest, I don't mind the costs of shipping the wheels because where I am from, you barely find nice wheels!

Have you considered he bought a copy set?

If you said you want copy work wheels I can lead you to where but I wouldn't advise to roll on them.

Behind Chulalongkorn university in Bangkok.

You have the widest range of wheels around there. So many shops to choose from within these sois.

Good luck.

I trust thailand copies from than the chinese and taiwan copies we get in here, plus the car's a merely show car so it won't matter if it's original or copy, I'll see both of them.

Thank you so much for the help, any directions in thai so I can just show it to the taxi driver?

Tell him Chulalongkorn University. It's behind MBK shopping centre and every taxi driver in the world knows MBK.

On the screen shot you can see Banthat Thong Rd. That's got the higher end car stuff, for Euro stuff but if you head into Chulalongkorn soi 9, all those lanes have car shops and even wrecking yards for engines. Pretty cool area to wander around.

You'll find your way when you see the shops.

Oh I know this place! Though I've heard that most of the shops that are here closed down or something, again, thank you!

You should trust Taiwan copies more, as the best wheels in Thailand come from Taiwan

Try some Lenso wheels - I've had a set about 8 years and still in good condition and very strong. lensowheel.co.th Try a set of venoms, as they are lightweight.

For exhausts, you can try mengheader.com, or find them on facebook. This is a relatively new car, so not sure about engine parts.

Yeah but the taiwan quality in Thailand is different to Dubai.

I am already on Lenso d1r wheels, I love lenso's quality and i have had them on for a few months as an alternate to work meisters since I can't find any in here, that's why i dont mind going with replicas because i know these wheels are hard to find in some parts of the world. Plus, after researching i have to come to find a work wheels thailand shop in there, i might give them a visit too and hope for new meisters that will be in the widths and offsets I need since I am running a rocket bunny kit.

Imported wheels seem horrendously expensive here - 10K a pop or more just for enkeis! That ft86 sounds great with that exhaust in the video above:)
