kevinsan
My motorcycle VIN number has rusted over. So, those damned inspectors refuse to issue a safety inspection. How do I get a new VIN stamped on the bike? And of course I have changed official residence from Phuket to BKK. (the inspectors in Phuket never had a problem with rust.) Any and all advice from the Thaivisa brethren most welcome.
Ridercnx808
Go get some stamps and restamp it. Get some epoxy or bondo, smooth it out and restamp before it hardens.

ATF
Considering the VIN number is usually stamped on a major structural element of the bike e.g. the frame. You bike is probably an unsafe rusting hulk and needs a new frame or be scrapped.
coley
I would say it isnt illegal to restamp it with the actual number but if it has been stamped before with a different number then the genie is out of the bottle with an inspection team and an xray. Atf had a valid point about the 'hulk' too.
