ikebukuro5
Hi there, I have a company already set up and a valid work permit but not yet the 4 staff members and office... Can I go back to Laos and get another non-b and repeat that until I have office and 4 staff members? Here are the parameters: - 2 000 000 company - valid work permit - don't have an office - don't have 4 thai staff - don't yet pay the tax on employees and myself
ubonjoe
If you have the documents required you could another single entry non-b in Vientiane. Requirements are here: http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/vientiane/en/consular/consular_check/
ikebukuro5
Can I do this until my work permit runs out? Is there a limit to how many back to back non immigrant B visas one can get?
beano2274
if they see that you are abusing the system and not likely to employ the 4 staff then you could get into trouble and not have the WP extended.
ubonjoe
I have read of people getting several back to back. I have not seen a set limit posted.
SoFarAndNear
How did you get the WP anyway if you dont have thai employees? I thought they labor department officers will come and check this before a WP will granted..

I thought they labor department officers will come and check this before a WP will granted.. Here on Phuket: they will check for an extension of stay to see if you meet the requirements, and of those requirements would be the minimum number of staff for renewal of your workpermit. They do not check this for the first application, which makes sense since quite often people will start their company without having premises/staff sorted. I know quite a few people here who are living and working here long time without the required staff and do have workpermits, so I presume they are applying for a new visa year after year.
