TerryLH
Check and see if any of the airlines still fly into the airport there. The airport is located in Lomsak District, a short distance North of Petchabun City.
KhunBENQ
Absolutely no flights to Phetchabun. No neighbouring airports that would make sense to use. Car or taxi, Edited August 24, 2014 by KhunBENQ
kurnell
Phetchabun is spectacular. Particularly Khao Kho. Enjoy the drive.

MYKTHEMIN
I believe Loei is the nearest active airport.
96tehtarp
Check and see if any of the airlines still fly into the airport there. The airport is located in Lomsak District, a short distance North of Petchabun City. Lomsak is a very interesting Thai town, as Thai towns go. The Phetprasert bus company has a large depot there. Their buses are quite comfortable.
phutoie2
Phetchabun province or City?, its a big province the 9th I believe. There is a railway line that goes to Chai Badan in Lop Buri province, but it sort of turns right there to head off into Isaan country, so you would have to bus it up to Phetchabun anyway. Looks like it will have to be bus or car/taxi. From Bangkok, Mor Chit Bus Terminal, No 14 buses and from Saraburi bus terminal, No 138's, or Bangkok No 14 class 2 bus. There are aslo the orange coloured bus shakers, not exactly slow as the drivers all think they are F1 drivers, but stops everywhere along the route 21. KhunBENQ
I believe Loei is the nearest active airport. Loei and Phitsanulok. Phitsanulok more busy. But both are about 2h drive from Phetchabun (city!). So overall no chance to save time (which was the intention of the poster?). FordRanger12
Yes take the car and take the route 1 to Saraburi and then route 21 to Petchabun. If you have time visit Khao Kho, Phu Thap Boek and Phu Hin Rong Khla.
