Hey guys..just a quick question regarding visa change process.

My girlfriend (soon to be wife) is about legalize the her affidavit and we'll register our marriage afterwards.

My question is ,...Is it possible to convert her current Tourist Visa to a Non O (Marriage) visa at the immigration office here in Bangkok? without having to go outside the country.

If you are Thai, it is provided she has at least 15 days remaining on her permission to stay.

If you are a foreigner also, she would need to apply as your dependent. For that no conversion is done and she would need to apply for a non-O visa in a neighboring country with proof of marriage and a copy of your passport to show you have an extension of stay.

Yes i am a Thai citizen and she's Filipino..

So...can she do here in Bangkok? as i don't feel like getting on a van for 9 hours to Laos again...

She can do a change of visa status from a tourist visa entry to a 90 day non immigrant visa entry.

All the documents needed for an extension of stay based upon marriage will be needed.
