How do me Are make pot 1 with City in pot 2?.....lmfao

And how can Basel be in Pot 2?

FULL TIME Basle 2 Man United 1 and Sir Alex Ferguson's men are out of the Champions League. Or, as MUTV are no doubt reporting "Manchester United qualify for the Europa League! Congratulations!" cheesy.gif

You're not serious are you?

Don't you know nuffink?

Oooh you get points for playing in the Yerpa league, too.

The club coefficient rankings are based on the results of clubs competing in the five previous seasons of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The rankings determine the seeding of each club in all UEFA competition draws.

UEFA Champions League points system

First qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points

Second qualifying round elimination – 1 point

Group stage participation – 4 points

Group stage win – 2 points

Group stage draw – 1 point

Round of 16 participation – 4 points

Since 2009/10 clubs have been awarded an additional point if they reach the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.

NB Points are not awarded for elimination in the third qualifying round or play-offs, since those clubs move to the UEFA Europa League and are awarded points for participation in that competition.

UEFA Europa League points system

First qualifying round elimination – 0.25 points

Second qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points

Third qualifying round elimination – 1 point

Play-off elimination – 1.5 points

Group stage win – 2 points

Group stage draw – 1 point

Since 2009/10, clubs have been guaranteed a minimum of two points if they reach the group stage and are awarded an additional point if they get to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.

*Penalty shoot-outs do not affect the calculation system.

Coefficient calculation

Clubs' coefficients are determined by the sum of all points won in the previous five years, plus 20% of the association coefficient over the same period (33% before 2009).

These rankings will be updated after each round of UEFA club competition matches.

Would I ever like Barcelona, PSG, Liverpool, Monaco to come out together.

Talk about group of death!

biggrin.png

That can't happen.

Correct. Don't tell cheeks tho' he'll only argue that Monaco are not from France and it's just an oil driven conspiracy.biggrin.png

Arsenal's problem in recent years has been not getting top slot in the group stages and then pulling a big team (think Bayern) at the following round. For that reason I hope we avoid PSG and Borussia from Pot 2.

Worst draw for us as far as just qualifying is concerned would be Borussia, Bilbao and Monaco followed by PSG, Bayer and Roma. Any other combinations shouldn't worry us.

I'm hoping Monaco are really shit because we've bought their number one striker! smile.png

Chelsea can snooze their way to Christmas.

I didn't want Borussia (again - isn't this the 3rd year in a row?) and Chic didn't want a Turk.

Not the best of luck there. Still - I suspect Kloppo aint exactly celebratingbiggrin.png
