Will they now declare their assets?

So 11 Generals, one admiral as Education Minister and an Air force chief as Transport Minister!

Better get used to cabinets like this from now on.

The choice of General Tanasak Patimapragorn (Supreme Commander) as Foreign Minister is interesting.

Will they now declare their assets?

With or without billions in "honest mistakes" and shareholdings by domestic staff? If necessary they could have family members lie about ownership in court, assuming the perjury rules of the last government still apply.

Do they get two salaries?

Will they now declare their assets?

Oh for crying out loud, they have only just been approved---did you have this question ready ??? if then they do---so what ??? look through and see how much they have ??

Do they get two salaries?

What if they have, ? no rice money for them though.

Better get used to cabinets like this from now on.

Yeah we had better do that--frustrating isn't it.

Actually more to the point would be the question "how many of these cabinet members are currently NLA MPs ?"

Note that NLA MPs will report their assets to the NAAC if I remember correctly.

Which means, the road to hell is paved with yellow bricks.

Even if it was Jack Sparrow and the entire crew of The Black Pearl, anything would be better than the last bunch of scallywags

I wonder what are ADM Narong Pipatanasai qualifications that he was appointed Education Minister.

............or Captain Pugwash and the crew of the Marie Celeste!!

Let's hope it doesn't end up as The wreck of the Hesperus

I wonder what are ADM Narong Pipatanasai qualifications that he was appointed Education Minister.

An ability tor recognise that over-priced junk tablets are not much of a learning aid is a good start.

Got to be honest:

I like the following persons:

Don Pramudwinai - A very good diplomat

Suthi Makbun - Former Governor of Ubon and Korat

Krissanapong Kiratikorn - Not that bad

Rachata Rachatanavin - I would have liked him in the Education Ministry but lets see what he can do at Pubic Health.

Veera Rojpojanarat - Culture Ministry and possible on the clampdown

Pichet Durongkaveroj - Not so bad
Sommai Phasi - Not so bad
Narongchai Akrasanee - Excellent as I know and worked with him with Brooker Group
Apiradi Tantraporn - Good choice
Chakkamon Phasukvanich - I know him from Indorama and he is a good choice

Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul - Surprise but another excellent choice - Would have liked her in the Industry Ministry and no Tourism Ministry but time will tell

Pornchai Rujiprapa - Another good move

Peetipong Phuengbun na Ayutthaya - Another good move

OK, looking at the generals I am not a fan of them but looking at all the deputies that have been appointed even if they are yellow/red they are all some of the best persons any cabinet can have.

My guess is that all those deputies will be one day become the Ministers when the army pulls out and possible call election in 2016/2017. Yes I know in 2015 but I don't believe it.

The cabinet is not that bad and I know several of those deputies. Surely if you keep the army out those deputies are clean. clap2.gif

I think Prayuth is serious of changing the country. Even the democrats can't come up with this kind of cabinet.

PS: The deuputies are very loaded but they earned their money. That some of those deputies have billions don't surprise me but I want to know what the generals and their wifes, children hold.

Once again not a bad cabinet.

A very interesting question that no one seems to be bring up in the news.

Probably because all are used to have generals and admirals as MP and/or PM and Cabinet Minister? Even lower ranking police officers seemed to like to use their former/current rank while being Dept. PM or so.

BTW are all generals and admirals mentioned in actual service or just recalled for the duration plus a few months?

I wonder what are ADM Narong Pipatanasai qualifications that he was appointed Education Minister.

I think it is the deputy that is important and not the Education Minister.

An ability tor recognise that over-priced junk tablets are not much of a learning aid is a good start.

And to recognise that they shouldn't rush into smart classrooms.

Move to axe 'smart classrooms' needs further debate

Social Development and Human Security Minister:

Pol General Adul Saengsingkaew

That seems a quite odd choice, to have the recently ousted Yingluck national police chief take over as Social Development and Human Security Minister??? The job formerly held by Pavena Hongsakul, the noted women's and children's rights activist and Pavena Foundation founder. whistling.gif

At least prayuth didn't nominate himself as Defence Minister, just his old mate and mentor of The Eastern Tigers, retired General Prawit Wongsuwan to keep the troops in check.

Though he did miss a trick, a man with these skills would have been a shoe in as Finance Minister

The Nation October 5, 2012

Former defence minister General Prawit Wongsuwan announced assets worth Bt79.063 million, recording a sharp increase from the Bt9.39 million he declared a year ago.

Yeah we had better do that--frustrating isn't it.

I would like to know why tho is frustrating and how it will really affect any lives of the majority of TV posters?

I would suspect not one iota at all

Must be nice as PM to be able to choose good people without having to bother about politics.

I wonder what are ADM Narong Pipatanasai qualifications that he was appointed Education Minister.

He may decide to buy some of those naff tablets.giggle.gif

The comment of the Tom poster, we have no idea what this cabinet will be like--just let's see shall we first.

But surely General Prawit Wongsuwan would be much more qualified, if not as well connected, as his predecessor.
