i am travelling to thailand in may on 2 month visa with b a can i travell on one way ticket?please advice me as i dont know how long i will stay , i might try and lease a bar when i get there. im travelling from london.

You don't need a confirmed return ticket if you have a 60 days Tourist visa.

If you are planning to lease a bar, then I would say it is essential to have a return ticket.

If you have a problem it is much more likely to be when you try to check in for the flight to Don Muang. If you have a visa no problem there.

The last time that I travelled from London was on a tourist visa. I travelled with Malaysian Airlines and they almost didn't let me get on the plane, as I didn't have a return ticket. I think that all airlines differ but anyway, I had no problems when entering Don Muang.

I did not get on the plane, one-way ticket and no visa. Even when I tried to purchase the return portion there and then (@#*@* Air France in Paris) they ignorantly insisted I need to apply for a visa first.

Fact:

If you are refused entry by immigration and you have no visa, the airline is responsible for transporting you back out of Thailand (same applies to most asian countries)

Hence all airlines insist you have a visa or a return flight, whereas Thai immigration doesn't appear to bother...

You don´t need a return ticket, I have been travelling to Bangkok for 10 years (once a month) and never ask about return ticket.

Note I no use visa because I stay only one weak in Bangkok.

if they ask at the immigration in bkk just give em the origional boarding pass and pretend u though thats what they asked for. If they ask again just look real confused and point to the pass, usualy shuts em up...
