National police officials satisfied with Chonburi Immigration results

PATTAYA:--National Royal Thai Police officials expressed satisfaction with efforts by the Chonburi Immigration Office in weeding out foreign criminal elements in Pattaya.

Chonburi Superintendent Pol. Col. Chaiyot Walukjulkiat met Aug. 27 with RTP advisor Pol. Gen. Wuthi Liptapanlop and deputy Immigration Bureau commissioner Pol. Col. Chusak Panus-aumphorn to review arrest statistics and trans-national crime suppression efforts.

Ten foreign fugitives have been apprehended hiding out in the Pattaya area this year, all arrested on Interpol warrants.

Thirty nationals from 30 different countries have been detained from January 2012 to July 2014, one third of them Russian or Ukrainian.

Three Britons, two Austrians, two Belgians, two Swedes and one each from Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Myanmar, Norway, Switzerland, Tajikistan were taken into custody both minor and serious offenses.
