kikenyoy
Can anyone tell me how it's spelled in Thai and what the origin of the term is?
AyG
Just a wild guess, but could it be the English word "fiddling", which is slang for a lady pleasuring herself?
ExpatForever
Probably featuring. From music videos with one artist featuring another I believe. Not sure how to spell it in Thai.
KhunBENQ
ฟิเจอริ่ง featuring But have no idea what the connection to slang word for sex is
rgs2001uk
ฟิเจอริ่ง featuring But have no idea what the connection to slang word for sex is This is only a guess, I dont think it is a slang word for sex. It may well be related to the FB craze of putting up "flashing" videos. Examples include uni girls prancing around in the toilets of a shopping mall dancing and exposing themselves. Others will include what you may refer to as "upskirt" photos. Seems to be a teenage facebook thing.
Roel
Young female staff confirms it is slang for having sex. It is a soft and nice way to put it they say. People are featuring literally meaning 'doing something together'. No one has a clue where it comes from or if it has anything to do with the English featuring.
kikenyoy
Thanks everyone. The first time I heard it I thought it was "fishering" but featuring makes more sense...well at least a little. I like the theory of one artist featuring another. I'll go with that until I hear different.
SlyAnimal
Fishering or Fissuring is a word I've heard used in relation to dogs having sex. Dunno if maybe what I heard was actually "Featuring" (As they're pretty similar when you add in a Thai accent), but this word is one I've heard occasionally since I came to Thailand 4 years ago, so I don't know if it'd be "new" (Assuming the word I heard, and you guys heard, is the same one). innerspace
Fidgering is the phrase I have heard for years. Similar to fidgeting, but hard to tell if a second meaning.
katana
From Kaewmala's website: ฟิเจอรืง - have sexual relations, guest appearance (featuring). It's an English loanword in Thai, presumably from the English word featuring. [Although I think her Thai spelling's a bit off and it should be ฟิชเจอริ่ง?] http://womenlearnthai.com/index.php/kaewmalas-thinglish-slang-english-loanwords-in-thai/ I saw it used in the Thai title of a video of a Russian couple caught in flagrante delicto in public: หนุ่มสาว ฟิชเจอริ่งกัน กลางสาธารณะ ที่ รัสเซีย
klons
ฟีเจอร์ริ่ง has been used a couple times in the written story of a soap I was going through.. Context: A woman engages a young lady she trusts to house-sit her ritzy condo for 6 months while she is away. The woman explains to the young lady why she trusts her to house-sit. One reason is: และเธอไม่ใช้ร่างกายเปลือง” The young lady asks what she means by ใช้ร่างกายเปลือง ? The woman says “หมายถึง เธอจะไม่พาผู้ชายมาฟีเจอร์ริ่งในห้องฉันแน่ ๆ” However in the actual video production she does not actually say the word ฟีเจอร์ริ่ง What she actually says is “หมายถึง เธอจะไม่พาผู้ชายมากินติ่มซำในห้องฉันแน่ ๆ” So evidently ฟีเจอร์ริ่ง = กินติ่มซำ
