I keep hearing all these projections for tourism I hear there going to promote more Maybe they could increase the numbers tenfold if they run a lotto like Have a drawing every month for a year. The prize being a life time visa with multi entries to live and stay in Thailand grand prize you get the visa for life a new condo in Bangkok fully furnished and freehold title plus say 10,000,000 baht in a bank account. 1st prize a life time visa and 5 million baht 2nd prize life time visa and 1 million baht. Now the thing is it won't cost Thailand a satong Have raffle tickets made up you get them just as your leaving immigration contest only for farang no Thai's cost of ticket 100 baht With there projections they make that would bring in over 2 billion baht more than enough to cover costs of prizes. It would also cause a stir in tourism in General newspapers the world over would pick it up. Creating interest in touring Thailand. Win win for all plus expats visa runs would switch to air travel creating more business for airlines and airports. And best part can buy ticket on every entry in to Thailand for more chances to win. Any extra cash from sales could go to insurance for visitors who lack when they come here. Win win all around.
