Sausage filler/stuffer. Or a shop that would do it for me?

Featured Replies

I make my own delicious homemade (mostly italian) sausage. I would like to stuff it into casing but haven't been able to find anything cost effective. Anyone know a good shop around Pattaya or Bangkok? Manual crank is okay.

Better yet, Someone who has their own sausage store or A main chain store or mom and pop shop one could know about would be appreciated. I would be happy to pay or share some of my sausage to whoever would help.

Thanks.

This place seems to have lots of hand crank as well as electric gringers with stuffers...

My understanding is that you can get frozen "skin" from MAKRO but I haven't looked myself.

Sausage skins (dried, they need soaking first) are available in every market in Thailand.

Ask in shops that sell meat balls and dry spices.

Mincing machines about 500-900 bht are available likewise, just look in shops selling stainless steel and small BBQ's etc.

I see a hydro one you can make online. Looks easy enough except for the piston. Any idea where I could get one cut from some food grade plastic type cutting boards? Thick ones.

Thanks

a condom will do the job, then you can share your sausage, and it will be cost effective.clap2.gif

power meat grinders with sausage attachments are available everywhere; Makro, tesco superstores, etc...casings are available in the fresh market...Makro has also got a reasonable selection of dried spices which are required for most recipes...

train yer thai family to make sausages and then call out: 'it's sausage time!' and then et viola, there they are in a glistening pile...
