Hey guys,

I been on with visa mob here in Bkk as I have been here for 14months on a student visa. I have a Thai wife of 7 years and a son with Thai and Australian passports. I am looking at going marriage visa soon. I am about run out of my student visa so I was told to leave Thai and go get "Non Immigrant O visa 90days. I am 41 years old.

SO I have all my papers and everything I think should run ok but I can not find anyone online stating what form I need to fill in for it while in Cambodia. I like to have all my forms in advance to fill them out so I know all what is happening. At a guess all I can see is a application form TM87 ?

Its a application for a general visa. On there it asks what visa you are applying for so I think that might be right as looking through the Thai immigration site on forms that was the best suited.

So can anyone tell me 100 % what form I need for the 90 day O-visa please.

Thanks in advance :-)

You will need a visa application form for the embassy where you apply for it. PhnomPenh.pdf Not sure it is the most recent.

Are you planning on applying for an extension of stay based upon marriage?

PP is not the best place to apply for a visa. Unless you use an agent it can take up to 4 days to get it.

The may ask for financial proof to get the single entry non-o.

You could get a multiple entry non-o in Savannakhet Laos without financial proof.

Hey Ubonjoe,

Thanks for the form I will use it so if its current its all filled out anyway.

Yes I plan on stating I want the 90 days as I have a Thai wife of 7 years plus a 2 year old Thai/Australian son. We also have a house up around Korat and I have a yellow book with my name as well. SO I was going to use the reasons for visa will be seeing my family.

The main reason is I need the 90 days before I apply for the marriage visa is I need to put 400 000baht in my thai bank account and have it in there for 2 months. I have had well over that over the last year but I bought a car here and a few other things for the house. I currently have money all here but its in Australian dollars and am now about to exchange some to top up my thai bank account.

So the plan is to get this 90 day O-visa under family reasons and return to Thai and after my money has been in my bank for 60days I will apply for a marriage visa.

So I am not to fussed on wanting a multi entry visa and I was allowing 5 work days for the visa in PP -Cambodia as I do not mind having a week there for it all to process. So 4 or 5 days process time will be ok for me to deal with.

Thought it was time to change from my student one and move over to a marriage visa. Thanks for the form and if you have any other information I am more than happy to hear it.

Thanks,

Aaron

I was just thinking when I show all my ID I was going to include my yellow house book and also my Thai drivers license but I am not real sure if I should have been allowed that stuff on a student visa?

Up where I am from things are still very casual in my local town on such things but they don't do visa's.

Just don't want to give myself any issues using them as extra ID items

For the visa application you will not need anything more than your passport for ID.

From Korat it wound be an easy trip to Vientiane with next day service and no financials.

Savannakhet at the moment does visas on the same date you apply,

Thanks for that, I also have a apartment in bkk and I am down here at the moment and a mate wants to shoot to Cambo so I thought I would go there for the trip as well as the visa cause I have not been back there for a year. So two birds with one stone.

But thanks heaps that is a very goog note to know for future reference if I hear someone needing the same thing as me but wanting it faster.

Thanks again for your help
