Hello all,My retirement visa is due for renewal shortly.Up to now I have used an agent(mainly because I'm disabled) I meet all requirments, going to British embassy would be nearly impossible for me to get verifaction letter for bank statements.Do you think statements without said letter, but a letter from doctor, verifying that travel to Bangkok very difficult would suffice?

Thank you in advance.

You can get someone to go to the embassy for you. Why not give them a call to work it out.

Cancel that !!! you don't need to go to the embassy, you can d/l the form and send it to them.

And why not provide the Embassy with evidence in the form of income statements from your pension provider(s)? These will show gross figures which are used by Immigration in calculating your compliance with the 65,000 THB monthly minimum. On the other hand, bank statements will, of course, only show net figures after the jolly old taxman at HMRC has taken his share.

Got the UK embassy letter this week by post. I have done it that way for at least ten years. Exactly one week turnround. If you provide evidence to the Embassy from your pension provider the gross figure is then given in the letter, ie before tax is deducted, which makes the figures look a bit better and might, just, make the difference when the pound is lower than now. The evidence is returned to you with the letter.
