Inadequate employment and security, plus political instability are still causing people to leave the country, MP Aung San Suu Kyi has said.

Slightly misleading in my opinion. The exodus never actually stopped, it just increased when it became easier to obtain a passport.

The few opportunities here that have come about from the handful of foreign companies that have set up and a few new local businesses make no serious attempt to attract Myanmar nationals to return. They whine on about it, yet offer qualified Myanmar nationals in other countries like Singapore 20-30% of what they're currently earning. Where's the incentive for them to return?
