Pol. Lt. Gen. Thaksin presided over the ceremony to hand over education funds to 915 students who are taking part in the 2nd One-District-One-Fund project. These students have good grades and are disciplined, but their financial status is not sound. 175 students will study inside the country, while the remaining 740 students will study abroad. The Prime Minister told the students to use their knowledge in helping out the poor who have fewer opportunities, and they are asked to promote His Majesty the King’s royal works and projects to foreign countries. The government hopes that the students will be able to gather knowledge from different countries and apply them for the benefits of Thailand.
