The row was over what Star Alliance, which is led by US carrier United Airlines, Germany's Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines, called uncompetitive facilities at Heathrow that put it at a disadvantage to rival airline group Oneworld which is led by British Airways. BAA said that it is confident of signing a memorandum of understanding with Star Alliance very soon which would see the group move into the airport's Terminal One building when the Oneworld group moves to the new Terminal Five building. .
