non - imm re-entry permit multiple

Featured Replies

This expires October 6 14. I will be leaving Thailand on 8.10.14 until 28.10.14.

Question, better to renew prior to leaving or upon return ?

I did the extension of stay, and that is valid until 3.11.14 ( 90 day reporting )

If, upon return is it still classed as a 'renewal process' or does one have to start the application process from scratch, with all supporting documentation ? Health Check, and so forth.

I have the funds in local bank, and will be my second renewal ..

Thanks for the assistance

What is expiring on October 6th? Is it a multiple entry visa you had before you did your extension? If yes you cannot use it to enter the country or your extension will be invalid.

If it is a re-entry permit you got at immigration it should be valid util your extension of stay date. It will have a date it was issued and a date it expires.

I am not really sure what you done already. Did you do a one year extension of stay last year by showing financial proof at immigration?

Or do you have a OA visa that you got last year the is expiring on October 6th and have a permuted to stay date of November 11th from it. If this is the case you should leave and re-enter the country and get a new one year entry before the 6th.

thank you.

Perhaps I did not make it clear. I have as quoted Multi Entry Visa, non immigrant, which expires October 6th.

I had left Thailand for a trip and upon my arrival back, went to the local immigration office, and did the required 90 day reporting, and "'

Receipt of Notification ' states this is not a notification of extension of stay, please report again November 3rd. 2014

I extended/renewed this non immigrant, Multi Visa last year by showing proof of finances ( Thai Bank Account )

My concern is that upon return, I will just receive the normal 30 day tourist visa and have to start the application over again. That is, make another application for the Multi Entry Non Immigrant Visa while in Thailand ? or do you have to leave again, and apply from outside ?

Sorry, if it sounds confusing, its because it is... and the ''rules '' keep changing.

Thanks, again,

If you have a re-entry permit that ends on Oct. 6th that is when your extension is due. You need to do it before you leave.

You do not need to worry about the 90 day report since it appears you will leaving before it is due. You only have to them if your are here for more than 90 days. Your first report will due 90 days from when you enter the country after you make your trip.

corrected after rereading post

Yes, it does indeed sound confusing, but the rules have not changed. I think it will be best if you scan and post whatever it is in your passport that has the date 3.11.14 on it.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

If it's a visa, it can't be renewed.

If it's an extension of stay (not a visa), it can be renewed up to 30 days before it expires and if you plan to exit & re-enter the country you'll need a new re-entry permit after you get the new extension. Since you already have a re-entry permit, it sounds like what you have is an extension of stay.

Was the extension based on retirement? If you meet the requirements the new extension could be given to you almost immediately.

If it was based on marriage, you'll be given a under consideration time frame before you get the new extension, which may complicate your plans to leave the country and return.

The rules have not changed, but the terms you are using are what makes it difficult for anyone to give you a reasonable answer.

i am confused as i have my first extension 1year based on retirement obtained 22 september now , my last admitted untill stamp is 5 october (non o multiple enter before 3 october 2014 date)

So normally i could used before that date another 90 days . I choose to go for retirement extension because i was ready with all the requirements .

So now my question ; must i report now already on 5 october (my normal visa run date ) as i shall be in Thailand for 90 days that date? Or is by the extension application the counter reset to 0 on the 22 september .

I guess i must make repport , i looks like newbie after 6 years Thailand , this system new for me whistling.gif

The first extension of stay is regarded as doing a 90 day report. So it is 89 day after Sept 22.

THX , also i confirm that no seasoning money was asked by combination methode at Jomtien, this in contradiction with some other immigrations

Hi,can you please help my _ I am still confused.

I have a Visa Type : None-immigrated

Category: ED.

No of entry: S to the Kingdom of Thailand .

Date issue September 10,2014 .

Expire December 9,2014.

I plan to visit Thailand from November 6 till November 22.

But also travel to Malaysia, Kuala-Lumpur from November 14 till November 16 with coming back to the Kingdom of Thailand .

Logicality I am authorized only for Single entry to Thailand. Which mean, if I would like to Malaysia I need to ask re- entry permit.

Yes, you need a re-entry permit.

However since you will be staying in Thailand for a short time only, you can return with use visa exempt or visa on arrival, depending on your nationality.

I am not authorized to get a visa upon arrival. I did not heard about visa exempt ? Where can I get it ?

I suspect you are not eligible anyway.

The list is not complete; e.g. Russian Federation is missing.

You should get a re-entry permit at immigration here a single will cost 1000 baht.

If you plan on attending school and getting an extension you need to do it that way to keep the 90 day entry valid so that is can be extended.

So sad :( But I will try

You have to go to an immigration office to get the re-entry permit. You cannot get it on arrival at the airport.

You can also get it at the airports in Bangkok on departure from the country, There are re-entry permit desks open 24 hours a day.

Today I will call to the Embassy for clarifications on re-entry permit.
