Hi,

Does anyone have experience of supplying a witness for a 1 year non-O visa extension based on marriage?

Thanks to the help on this forum, I made it through the non-O visa extension paper work at the office here in Chiang Mai, but immigration are now asking for a Thai native witness to come into a different office. This isn't a problem, but we'd like to be prepared.

Does anyone know what kind of questions they ask, or how long the appointment will take? We have a couple of friends and neighbours we can ask, and want to make sure we go with someone who can give them the information they need.

Thanks!

The purpose of the witness is confirm you are living together as husband and wife at the house where you are living. The questions will be based around that.

I have done the marriage extension Monday 4 Jan, Immigration called just now, need to come to Immigration with a witness.
We Just moved to Chiang Mai, we don't know many Thais here, the people we know, don't want to come due to Covid-19, desperately asking around, crazy situation
