Sophon Internet - problem in the sea?

No internet for the 2nd day in a row, Mrs just been told that there's a problem with cable in the sea, should be back online on Monday????

Anyone else been told this, experiencing problems??

I use Sophon also and had intermittent problems all day yesterday with loss of connection or being very slow but in Mabprachan it is working and so far today seems fine.

There is a reduction in bandwidth internationally right now due to a cable break of Japan I think..

Its easy for them to fob off every caller with that excuse, try Thai websites and see if they are fast.

As Satcommlee said, this is not only with Sophon I also have problems with CAT and 3BB since yesterday.

I had some internet yesterday, no Yahoo but had YouTube, Ebay but today nothing at all!!

Quite a few are complaining about this. Seems every provider is having problems. I'm on ToT and yesterday was pretty bad.

3BB seems to be functioning normally.

I did use my Sophon connection yesterday and it was very slow, with many international sites unavailable.

Sophon Internet was completely down in my area most of yesterday from morning to night. It was working well, though, when I logged on around 10pm and today is seemingly back to normal. Other services were working in the area while Sophon was down so it must have been their own cabling issue,

In South Pattaya Sophon told me,on Friday it was a CAT issue and would take 1-2 days to fix. On Friday service was intermittent and slow when it was there however yesterday all are good and now no issues.
