Key witness says foreigner kills British tourists

I thought the Police were going to tighten up on these leaks to the Press.

Could make a good defense, a crazy farang killed the couple and then two Asians only assaulted the dead female victim.

That way they are not charged with a brutal murder but still serve time since their DNA was found in the semen they left behind.

Could make a good defense to an audience that wants to believe...

Plus it plays into the Thai prejudice against farang that is only rivaled by the farang prejudice against Thai seen on this TV forum the past 12 days.

OMG you wrote ONLY assaulted the DEAD female victim..

ONLY??? that is a very sick crime, what sort of penalty is fitting for raping a dead body with a mangled head?

When they were looking for Mons son there was a reason, the DNA is a 70% match with Mon which proves it is one of his relatives...

These facts have not been released but are well known by many on Koh Tao..

This was a terrible crime and whoever was involved to any degree needs to be found. Not since Ted Bundy or the Hillside stranglers have such violent rape/murders been seen. The fact that this was committed by a group of men 2 or 3 or more makes it worse. Even the Manson gang didn't resort to rape. Whether rape happened before or after her death is to be seen. But I cannot even imagine the horror of this crime that was committed. It boggles the mind that the BIB apparently spend more time on social media that investigating the murder and have resorted to releasing weekend troll press releases such as this one. With 400 respsonses to this thread in only a few hours id say there getting good.

While the farang crowd on Koh Tao seem to want it to just go away have they considered that if or when this happens again that the crime may be pinned on them? That they may be suicided in the woods or blamed for someone elses crime? Its clear that the BIB can do whatever they want in this case and others. Time to go bed early, keep all receipts, wave and smile at all cctv to establish where you were and when, and flush all cigarette butts down the toilet. Or heck just go somewhere else for vacation. is it really worth it?

Sadly this is not true. Whilst rape and murders with this level of brutality are indeed rare, they are not as rare as most people believe they are. The extent of violence inflicted on a rape/murder victim is rarely reported in any real detail and that is why, when we do hear of these cases, we are shocked at how terrible these attacks can be.

Think about the reporting about this case, if you only knew what was reported in mainstream media, would you be aware of the level of brutality inflicted on Hannah?

When you delve deeper into case files you realise how barbaric some of these attacks really are. I’m not suggesting that Hannah wasn’t subjected to the worst kind of brutality (she clearly was), but the suggestion that this is the worst since Bundy is just not accurate all. Sadly I could probably easily name 100+ victims of such extreme violence and rape off the top of my head. I only know a small fraction of course. One thing we have learned from this type of crime is that if the perpetrator is not found, they will do it again in one form or another. That cannot be allowed to happen.

Assuming its a gang though, its not likely that all 3 participated in killing her. I cannot beleive that 3 men can gang rape a corpse together. Please. That is a stretch of humanity that is beyond.

I can only beleive they gang raped her either semi or concious and then one of them bludgeoned her. If you have seen the pictures the odds of raping her dead are impossible to do and not be covered in her blood. Impossible.

How do you explain that the police only found DNA on the outside of the condom and that this DNA belonged to the victim David Miller?

Source for this one?

Sauce ?

very unlikely that this was their first raping

very unlikely that this was their first killing,

with the new facebook page and the link to the CNN reporters twitter feed,

it is very unlikely that they will be forgotten,

and even more likely that the pressure will now seriously begin on the Thai government

I have also contacted Steve Forbes

Foreigner as in Japanese/Korean/Chinese/another SE Asian nationality? Because the semen found had Asian DNA. Are they just hoping if they keep releasing enough crap that the media/social media people will get bored and lose interest?

You couldn't make this up. Sorry David and Hannah and your families, this is actually sick.

Doesn't comport with the DNA evidence. 'Nough said.

People by and large don't realize just how far and how low Thais will go to fabricate a story, save face and save their butts.

It's quite obvious to anyone with any day to day knowledge of Thailand what is going on here; why the BIB said this, why the BIB said that, why the BIB played for time, why the crime scene was fouled, why the junta said whatever, what the headman's ploy was with his reward and alibis, why foreign social media was criticized etc etc ...yawn...

And we are all supposed to act dumb and soak up this nonsense like uneducated serfs living in a bygone age.

What to do? If the Thai authorities cannot face the truth, should this not be raised to an international rather than a domestic issue?

Although this was a great tragedy for the family, does it really rate as one of the world's great crisis that demands international investigation? What about all the Thais who die annually?

the answer is YES<

this does require international investigation so Thailand will grow up in the world and give people a real investigation and prosecution for ALL crimes in Thailand,

and to stop the mafia and the payoff systems,

do you prefer that Thailand just continue to rape and kill foreigners and then laugh about how stupid we all are for continuing to pay their bribes?

No. I suggest that all human life is equally sacred and nobody deserves special treatment based on their place of origin, religion, gender, age or financial wealth and influence.

The same goes for their death.

I fully appreciate the TV members disgust with this crime, I just do not understand why they think this crime is more special than other violent crimes against Thais which occur. I have even read more than one poster declare that"Thailand must pay" and "Thais must pay", as if these murders were some sort of collective national effort.

I have made this case and the facebook page for the two brutally murdered young people from England, who were murdrered by ghosts after being raped by aliens

There is a facebook page for Thai ex pats with 24,000 members,

I just informed them, as well as Steve Forbes who is on my twitter feed and who is organizing an awards banquet in Bangkok

he just met w the Thai rep in NY last week

It's not precisely clear what you are trying to do? Sorry if you have put up something earlier but there are so many threads now it has become far too fractured to follow. If there is a concerted effort to press for resolution, pursuit of perpetrators and lobby for change count me in for support. PM me please so I don't miss any pertinent information as to links etc.

This is an opportunity to expose the way police handle the murder and rape and brutality that occurs inside their "exotic" kingdom thats why

this can be their Tianneman Square moment

it is best for people here to take a few steps back and understand

there are real reporters on this case now

we only need to feed them what we know, and let them do their job,

this is what is needed most now, as only a CNN or other like them can apply the international pressure we need

we must all thank the CNN reporters and keep them on this case

Sounds like more smoke and mirrors to aid in covering up some bigwigs wrong doings.

If not. Their current view can only point to two theories. 1. The girl had sex with multiple asian partners prior to a foreigner killing both her and the male victim. or 2. The victims were murdered by said foreigner then the bodys were discovered by a group of asians, who instead of reporting the gruesome discovery, decided to have sex with female post mortum. PLEASE!

Is it not about time that the UK Assembly staff arranged to step in, and take over this case ?, with detectives and knowhow from the UK.

The poor families and friends of the infortunate victims of this horrible crime need answers, - and soon.

This whole case issue has become farcical, and is just heaping frustration at the lack of what appears to be any cohesive progress, upon their grief.

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims

I know that your intentions are good but how on earth you could even come up with the idea that the UK could take over a case in another sovereign country is beyond me. Anyway, their inactivity speaks volumes. Perhaps they already know more than we know.

Is there any reporting saying that the suspect foreigners cannot be asian?

Not that i buy into the report that the killers is foreigners, because it had to be from the day the police chief said that no thai could do such horrible crime. If he would end up convicting a thai for the murder, how would it make himself look after such statement.

let's be fair to the investigators, as, they were not there at the crime time, and, evidence was tampered with before they got there,

yes, they have DNA, and, yes, if they can find someone that turns in the the culprits they have something to go on,

we cannot say corruption is at play here, because We also do not know

what we do know is,

this can be a watershed case of how things can be changed in Thailand, and that is the main thing to come away with here

Not that I am aware except for an assumption by a couple of posters who thought foreigner meant farang.

As you mention, I think the advantage of a witness coming forward with this information accomplishes all that is really needed--to show that a Thai did not commit such brutal murders. I am not sure its enough to prevent further investigation into the wealthy local family for a DNA match on the found semen but it might be enough to keep the charges of murder from sticking.

Now with money floating around a surprise 'Key witness' has come forward. OMG , do the Thai Police really think everyone is as stupid as they are or is this just another way or preserving Thailands image as a good tourist destination.

Posted

What happened to the Asian running away from the scene caught on cctv in the victims pants?

Has that person been interviewed yet?

The foreign witness, did he or she see the crime from a distance and were to scarred to come forward?

Stay tuned to this site for the conclusion coming soon 85% solved .

So the foreigner...who will never be found...found a hoe and used it to dispatch the UK victims...thereby...proving the innocence of Thais...

I am not buying this...it seems to me to be more along the lines of a cover up...due to the pressure of officials...not wanting to upset more tourists...

Posted

In many crimes witnesses don't come forward for whatever reason till later on so it could very well be legit.

Agreed. However, I can almost promise you that the witness will remain incognito, for starters. I'll go further and state that the witness will either retract what was claimed, or obfuscate it so much (couldn't see...) that the testimony will become worthless. Assuming the witness' testimony goes to trial, which it won't. It's a step below smoke and mirrors. The cop who broke this story should tear his shirt in shame.

This is just another disgrace to the image of the Thai culture who believes it can be part of the modern world. The backbone of the education system has produced such people in power not withstanding the serious situation Thailand is in to be part of the planning and direction of its people as role models.

Not just the education system, my friend. Thai cops, in order to rise in the ranks, are promoted on payments-up-the-line of command, and who-you-know. Secondly, on seniority. Much less, if at all, are promotions based on skills, knowledge, intelligence, problem-solving skills, coolheadedness-under-pressure or thinking-outside-the-box. Similar for many other professions in Thailand, particularly in officialdom.

I thought the very latest, latest is that they are looking at the footballers, who are thai

the conclusion that the hoe was the main murder weapon may not be so

the killing could also have been the are hands of a strong person and the hoe used incidentally

There has been no mention made of the nationality or ethnicity of this just discovered witness nor any real details about how and why this witness happened to be in the vicinity and at what distance. Ofcourse, a thorough investigation would need to establish if anyone can place this witness near the crime scene or at home in bed.

There could be some financial motivation for someone to just now come forward with false testimony.

Thought so, and thanks, just wanted to know if i missed something.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a village headman's family being involved, but i somewhat started to doubt it. I do however still think that some from AC Bar know who is behind this terrible murder.

I am still hoping for Sean to come clean and let the world know what he knows. With his allegations he clearly must know more than the public does. He's been working there, hence should know quite a few of the people related to AC bar is, specially owner and manager, so you simply don't come with such claims that AC Bar did it, or AC Bar knows who did it, because he should know how dangerous such claims would be.

I still think that Sean might be the actual reason for these killings. I think he was in money trouble with some guys, hence why he wanted to sell the motorbike. Could be a f'ed up situation getting totally out of control, and that Sean was there and actually witness the everything and that he was covered in blood. If so, it would make sense that Mon and his police friend would approach him with words like "You have blood on your hands", "It was you who killed them. You’ve got two people’s deaths on your hands. We know it was you", meant in the sense that he was the "reason".

However, i am not sure that he ever would come clean, if he is in fact still alive.

Sean has been hanging with some nasty guys, and something tells me that he might have been involved with selling drugs.

Maybe the press release leading to this thread ('Key Witness Says....') is bogus, and/or crafted to raise the ire of hundreds of farang who post on here. It's not a stretch to think some Thai cops would love to piss-off farang. After all, their 'face' is getting dragged through the mud in these forums, whether justifiably or not.
