raro
Update on the drainage... The landlord sent in a team of drainage specialists and dam construction engineers. So the drain works at least better than before and they have put up a little wall at the door to the flat roof that will not only the rain water from flowing in (as long as the water levels don't climb over the ledge) but also make potential intruders through that door stumble and fall down the stairs ahead. Very clever system!

TallGuyJohninBKK
Just to settle an issue discussed earlier in this thread, I was shopping at Tops the other day and noticed they had Australian ground beef on sale for 550b per kilo, down from a regular price of 650 baht. That's pretty consistent with what I recalled from memory earlier in this thread, being about double the price of typical Thai-French ground beef. Today I had a Super Star combo at Carl's Jr, quite good for fast food.

Mobi
Never heard of it, but will check it out tomorrow! Nor have I. How about the notice-board inside Big C (near the toilets). Might be worth a try. I think its free. Can you PM me the salary, hours, days off etc - and I will ask around...
Kaoboi Bebobp
IMHO, posting on the Big C Extra board is not a bad idea. Many Thais look that board over too as well as the Foodland board.
MJCM
Raro, I think (if I am not mistaken) is that that agency located in the small Soi connecting third road (opposite Soi 9 3rd Road) and Big C Extra car park. Alternatively you can enter via the back entrance on Soi Yume and drive straight through. Cant upload a Street View as I am upcountry with a very slow internet connection. Kaoboi Bebobp
^^^Right, I know the one now. It's at the end of the Navin farthest from Big C.
Jip99
^^^Right, I know the one now. It's at the end of the Navin farthest from Big C. I would say that was Navin 1 with the row of shops and bar at the front. I recently stayed at Navin2 (nearest to Big C and that had no shops or offices at all.

My guess is like most postal services....a few crumbs arrive and if you are lucky a note saying it is not legal to post foodstuffs in the mail. Of course the postman will have a big smile on his face.
Chonburiram
...Roastbeef, melted cheese and some tomatoes in a toasted sandwich. Bauru.jpg Looks more like the cheese is ON the sandwich;the main reason why i don't like any food with cheese in/on it, in non cheese countrys, is, that the quality is so inferior. Tasteless melted plastic (sold as "Cheddar"), not my palate.

Kaoboi Bebobp
Can you move down to the end of my driveway, please? LOL. Anyway, those skewers lit my fire. I like my veg and those salads look good (except the iceberg lettuce . . . sorry. Please use romaine or better quality red and green lettuce, charge a bit more and I will be happy). Anyway, I did a re-con to find your place so I know how to get there easily but have yet to bite. Those BBQ skewers will do it. I live on NPW, btw, if you're thinking about moving! juliusk
I like your food Raro but sometimes its easier to have something delivered at the Darkside, ever consider to do the same as the Sunrise Taco wagon did? They worked together with motorbike taxidriver to deliver the food. Me personally I am quite ok with paying a bit extra for delivery, its still cheaper then delivery charge WOW,D2D are charging ;-)
