I very much doubt that local police have anything to do with interviews of suspects at this stage of the investigation given the media coverage and the number of Bkk investigators that have been sent to the island. And that local police would be in no position to offer the 700,000 baht donated to find the killers.

Which means that either the Thai taxi driver is full of it, or someone else is conducting their own interviews

IMHO of course...................wink.png

He went to the kanman for protection???? Is this t he same on who offered 1Mio Baht as a reward for getting his family off?

and police offered only 700.000

He (the village headman) offered 1 million baht if someone can prove him or anyone is his family to be guilty, NOT innocent. People seem to have this all backwards.

So, if someone can prove that his son is guilty, in this case, he will pay 1 million baht. If someone proves his son is innocent, no money will change hands.

Nevertheless, offering the police 1 million baht to prove one is guilty seems very "thai", overconfident, and suspicious.....

So why did they refuse to submit to a DNA test? Maybe they were not aware that such a test existed at the time that they offered the money. It seems rather obvious that the rapists and the killers are the same people, and all fingers are pointing at the head-man's son and a couple of accomplices. They should all be made to submit to a test.

Apparently the headmans brother had a DNA test done and found no match, the headmans son was apparently in Bangkok at the time of the murders and has an alibi - not sure if he was DNA tested or not, but after recent events could you even trust the DNA results

Hannah visited you yet headsman or David has he visited you. Ghosts r real. Restless souls wander the earth as ghosts my headsman. Haunted you will be, restless they are.

Wonder about the doubts here.

Lets face some facts in this thai system:

After your birth you will be in a education system which not exist.

They will give you a brainwash about ghosts, religion and who has the power in your village

and city.

You will see very quick that money is everything to have power.

This will be your timetable of life and every corner of your day to day existence.

Police,Army,Authorities and rich Dictators(hiso crap asses) will tell you how your life will flow.

And now comes Pornprasit Sukdam and tell them to f..k off,i really admire him because

this is pure brave.

Even the evil will win again and the murderers of Hannah and David will not be discovered

because the VIP´s here in this country can cover it,

i wish the world has more Pornprasit Sukdam´s

Dear fellow TV members......

Based on what we read -hear - and see in this dramatic handling by the authorities.........

Do you think that AURA has anything to do with KARMA ?

Or ?

Do you agree with me that ones AURA is related to public perceptions : and that KARMA is the ultimate result of a distracted AURA?

Since I think that this drama is KARMA,

if there were any real journalists on that island, they would do an interview with this guy and put it n youtube with a press release,

he is likely to accidentally die,

are there any high buildings there?

The Mantra (sp?) Resort and the Regal (sp?) are each at least 3 stories tall. Probably 40 feet high from the flat roofs.

When we were told how the whole world is looking at this case, and a scapegoat won't be found, I thought this nasty case couldn't get any more sordid, I was wrong.

For people to have any faith that the real culprits will be caught in this smoke and mirrors charade, the military should take all the police off this case and call for the help now, of Scotland Yard and let them try to sort this mess out. The RTP sure don't look like they have any hope of charging the real culprits. If there is any truth to this latest twist, the police should be charged and the book should be thrown at them. Not only justice should be done, it should seem to be done.

Then all the people that have been charged in the past by these police and jailed should have the right to fair trial, as if it is true, I am sure it isn't the first time they have found a scapegoat. A Thai version of a Royal Commission should be held into the RTP, with international independent judges.

If Pornprasit Sukdam is found to be telling the truth, for his bravery and honesty, he should be relocated, given a new identity and a large reward after he has testified against these police so he and his family can get on with their lives without having to look over their shoulders.

The Police may well have a target in mind who had been in this fellas taxi , Taxi drivers are decent witnesses they can put people in certain places at certain times

Unless they get a confession form the murderer I won't trust any conviction now , not that I'd trust many anyway

The plot thickens every day ......

Agatha Christie would be jealous of such a story.

Agatha Christie would have solved this by now, but not this incompetent police force.

It's getting dirtier by the day, now they are offering bribes to get out of the shit they have put themselves in, framing anybody and anything within their grasp.

Really sad and sickening.

"Agatha Christie would have solved this by now, but not this incompetent police force."

You do know that Agatha Christie was an author who created fictional plots, and detectives? Your comparing her with real police officers investigating a real murder case and suggesting that she could have solved the case before now is ridiculous in the extreme.

"...framing anybody..."

Who have the police framed so far? You must have information not available to anyone else.

The poor families of the victims having to put up with this garbage day after day.

I highly doubt the families wait with baited breath for every news article in the manner of many TV posters who have nothing personally invested except a casual concern and alot of boredom.

Coming from one of the busiest posters on this topic!!coffee1.gif

But probably one of the most accurate observations made amongst the hundreds of nonsense posts.

It's astonishing that the UK Embassy hasn't stepped in and/or the families haven't employed private investigators and forensics experts as well as a criminal prosecution attorney.

Do you think the British Embassy is an some kind of investigative authority that can "step in"? Even if it were, you know what jurisdiction would it have in Thailand... none.

Do you think Thai PIs are likely to be more competent than Thai police?

Would the private forensic experts you are referring to be given access to the evidence in the hands of the Thai authorities who are actually in charge of the case?

What would your suggested families "criminal prosecution attorney" be able to do that would expedite the investigation?

Astonishing.

he went to the kanman, who himself is suspected of surpressing evidence ?

How long until he will fall from a balcony, drown in unsafe waters, or is killed in a motorcycle accident ?

Why the press reveals his real name, doesn't get me. He is accusing the police of comitting a very heavy crime . . hope he has protection.

Me think the couple got murdered by a local who was at the bar, approached the girl and got rejected, then additionally confronted by her buddy partner. A typical case of Face Loss gone the killer road.

They need to set someone up very quickly! High season just around the corner! And especially as TAT has promised "activities" to get the tourists flooding back.

Is it just me but since the good old general has become PM, the war on corruption speeches etc has gone very very quiet!

Just maybe the Police do have DNA evidence but want to ensure murder charges stick.. unlikely I suppose.. or the other option is that they have no DNA and what would be the point in enforcing him to be a witness, if there was nothing else to back it up.. as whom ever he said had committed the crime would be worthless evidence if no DNA as backing... unless pinning the DNA on a scapegoat.. British Embassy need to ensure that these DNA samples are from the correct people to ensure every bodies safety(which won't happen) or just boycott the IOS.. which I feel is the better option.. certainly will be dissuading my kids from visiting in future...
