Applying for double entry tourist visa in Vientiane

Featured Replies

I know many questions have been posted in here about this but I'm getting more confused the more I read. I will be applying for a double-entry tourist visa in Vientiane next week and it will be my first. Do I need an outgoing ticket for my application? If so, how many? I ask this because I still can't decide whether to leave the country before my first 60 days finished or if I'll extend for another 30 days. And also do I need to show bank statements as proof of funds?

Thanks.

They do not ask for tickets out of the country.

All you will need is your passport (copy of photo page) and a completed application form with 2 photos attached to it and the 2000 baht fee.

Thanks ubonjoe. I have another question and sorry if this is not much related to the above. If I decide to extend my first entry to another 30 days, will I need an outgoing ticket to show the immigration officers for that? Thanks very much.

Immigration also will not ask for a ticket out of the country for the 30 day extension of either entry.
